According to the international student's account, after he enrolled in the Perugia Academy of Fine Arts 9 years ago, a compatriot who claimed to be a senior immediately contacted him warmly, and the documents that could help with the tuition fee waiver were handed to the school secretariat.
Subsequently, at the request of the senior, the Chinese student sent a copy of his and his parents' ID cards, rental contracts and other economic and tax-related documents to the senior by email on September 22, 2022, and paid 4,300 yuan, about 650 euros.
Just when it was thought that the tuition fee waiver was about to be implemented, a month later, on October 28, the Perugia Academy of Fine Arts said that the international student could not enjoy the tuition fee waiver policy on the grounds that he had failed to submit documents related to his economic and financial situation.
When the Chinese student wanted to find an enthusiastic "senior" to help, he found that he had long disappeared, and all his contact information was blocked or the news was lost.
According to the Italian Today website, at least 40 Chinese students in the Perugia Academy of Fine Arts have been deceived like this boy, and they are planning to report the fraud to the police.
