Culture enters 10,000 homes, and intangible cultural heritage celebrates the New Year. In order to welcome the upcoming Spring Festival, a shocking intangible cultural heritage performance kicked off in Zhengding, Shijiazhuang, as a representative item of national intangible cultural heritage, Zhengding's Changshan war drums and Gao Zhao made a wonderful appearance.
The national intangible cultural heritage Zhengding Changshan War Drum, together with Shanxi majestic gong drum, Lanzhou Taiping drum and Kaifeng pan drum, is known as the "four famous drums of China", has a long history and has taken shape in the Warring States period. The drums sounded, sometimes like thunder, earth-shattering; Sometimes it seems like a thousand horses galloping, invincible. "Changsheng General" Zhao Zilong is a Zhengding person. According to legend, when he fought in those days, he personally beat the drum every time to cheer, and the soldiers bravely killed the enemy and bravely moved forward in his drumbeat. Later, some retired soldiers returned to their hometowns and brought back war drums, and there is today's Changshan war drum.
Gao Zhao, also known as Nakahata. It originated before the Republic of China and has a history of more than 100 years. The props used in Gao Zhao are mainly coarse bamboo materials, which vary in length and thickness, and the heaviest is nearly 72 kilograms. Before the performance, the bamboo poles were wrapped with dragon and phoenix flags, two flower umbrellas were erected, and ten pheasant flies were inserted on the top of the poles as decorations. Gao Zhao's performances mainly show the joy of farmers celebrating a good harvest during the Taiping Year during traditional festivals, celebrations, and agricultural leisure.
