Write on the front

In order to deeply promote the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress to the grassroots level, officers and soldiers, further condense the morale of the military, and encourage the forging force, in accordance with the unified deployment of the Central Propaganda Department, Jiefangjun Bao organized and carried out an interview activity on the theme of "New Era, New Journey and New Great Cause". Since November last year, dozens of reporters have gone up to mountains, to islands, to dense forests, to the ocean, and through the Gobi to cover the frontline of preparations for war and war, thoroughly publicizing the new ideas, measures, and new results of the whole army's units in arming their minds, guiding practice, and promoting work with the spirit of the 20 th CPC National Congress.

The feet are covered with dirt, and the end of the pen is full of feelings. The reporters were deeply moved during the interview, gained growth in the touch, and the passion for discovering the rich mine of grassroots news was even higher, and their belief in taking root in the fertile soil of the grassroots was firmer. This journal publishes the impressions of some reporters, from which they can appreciate the responsibilities and responsibilities of military journalists.

Go deep into the frontline

Step into the battle station and get close to the heart of the soldier

■ Li Qian, reporter of Jiefangjun Daily

Walking into the grassroots, but not into the battle station, the manuscript will always be vivid; Approaching the officers and soldiers, but not close to the hearts of the soldiers, the manuscript will be less sincere. What is the real "grassroots"? Whenever I go to the grassroots level, I think about this question in addition to writing.

Participating in this themed interview activity, I have gained some new experience. In a certain destroyer detachment of the Navy, I went deep into the combat position of the electromechanical troops, and as soon as I entered the engine room, a heat wave mixed with a strong smell of engine oil hit me head-on, and the rumbling machine released scorching heat ... Communicating with officers and soldiers in such an environment, experiencing their hardships and struggles, and feeling their enthusiasm and dedication, the end of the pen will unconsciously reveal true feelings and strength. I think this is the proper meaning of "going to the grassroots".

Plunge into the pile of troops and bow to the "four forces"

■ Jiefangjun Daily reporter Sun Xingwei

Going to the grassroots level to write good news is my biggest impression of participating in the "New Era, New Journey, New Cause" themed interview activity.

Although modern means of communication are diverse, neither telephone nor video can replace being on the front line. Only by constantly honing foot power, eye power, brain power, and pen power, and truly facing officers and soldiers, can we capture many vivid details that are difficult to discover in remote interviews. Sometimes, a single action or expression of the interviewee will add a lot to the manuscript.

Therefore, no matter how informatization develops, no matter how advanced the intelligent reporting equipment is, "news under the footboard" is always the interview concept that our reporters must follow; "Closer to the news scene, closer to the news scene" is always the constant pursuit of journalists.

Read more carefully, write more

Liu Dan, reporter of Jiefangjun Daily

"Where are our combat adversaries? What kind of equipment are they? What level are they? What are they doing? What are we going to do? "The motherland is named after us with the first, and we repay the motherland with the first." This is not my first trip to the Pioneer Flying Group, but every time I walk into the air service building and see the slogan hanging in the corridor, I am always moved by reverence and emotion.

When I go there to interview, I always talk about home, but when it comes to training, the officers and soldiers talk about it and it is difficult to finish. For more than 70 years of conquest in the South and the North, the scourge of time has condensed the belief of "first" into the solemn commitment of this unit to its revolutionary ancestors and to the people of the motherland, which has long been engraved in the bones.

Every time I interview, I deeply feel that the motherland is being guarded by so many lovely and respectable officers and soldiers, so I always want to read more carefully and write more, so as not to live up to their bloody youth.

Temper bloody tiger qi on the fiery frontline

Li Lei, reporter of Jiefangjun Daily

In this interview, I came to the "Counter-Terrorism Sharp Squadron" of the Xinjiang Armed Police Corps, followed the footsteps of President Xi Jinping during his inspection, and followed the squad leader Wu Jiao into the squadron's honor room. Powerful earth bombs, cold machetes, and bloodstained combat uniforms all silently tell the heroic deeds of the officers and men of the squadron in the fight against terrorism.

Wu Jiao told me that in order to temper the actual combat skills of officers and men, in recent years, they have repeatedly challenged the limits in the depths of the desert, the Gobi wilderness, and the mountains and valleys. Looking at these objects and listening to these stories, I deeply feel that mission and responsibility, loyalty and dedication are the eternal value pursuit of soldiers.

As a soldier and a war correspondent, like these special operators, I want to integrate the cultivation of fighting spirit into every interview and writing, cultivate the bloody tiger spirit of the brush stroke, and send back hard news from the hot frontline.

Harvest moved

Gan as a "waiter"

■ Guo Fengkuan, reporter of Jiefangjun Daily

During an interview with the Department of General Surgery of the General Hospital of the Western Theater, I found that there was a large stack of surgical diagrams in the cabinet of Director Wang Tao's office. He told me that doctors have to "do it twice" - before surgery, "do it once" in your head and on paper, and draw a step-by-step diagram of the operation; When performing surgery, follow the plan. "It's our responsibility." Director Wang said, "After more than 30 years as a soldier, unfortunately I have never been on the battlefield. But we also have our own battlefield, and if we can't be front-line combatants, we can be good 'waiters' for front-line combatants. ”

This passage is a memorable one. From soldiers to military doctors, from ordinary doctors to department heads, Wang Tao has never forgotten his original intention of serving combat effectiveness. People who pursue their ideals, no matter what position they are in, will do their best to shine. Perhaps, Wang Tao and his comrades will leave the barracks one day, but as long as there is still such a sincere heart, it will shine wherever they go.

There is an obscurity that is most moving

■ Zou Fei, reporter of Jiefangjun Daily

Most of my interviewees are far from the city and deep in the mountains. In the newspaper manuscripts, their locations are often expressed as "a certain department," "a certain brigade," "a certain construction position," and "a certain scientific research site," and there are many "such" characters, revealing the special mission, special task, and special post of the officers and men of the rocket, and also reflecting the loyal dedication of thousands of officers and men who have been unknown for many years. Sticking to the "Underground Dragon Palace" without distinction between day and night and difficult to discern directions, unable to see sunlight for a long time; After enlisting, he followed the troops to carry out tasks in Tiannanhaibei, and did not return to the main camp until he was retired; After committing to a major task, he "lost contact" with his family... During the interview, I asked the officers and soldiers again and again: What makes you willing to be lonely and full of energy? The answers of the officers and soldiers varied, but there was only one point: the sacred mission on the shoulders!

Whether in the rolling mountains or in the noisy construction positions, I can always feel the strength of these officers and men to forge ahead without saying anything. I would like to focus on them and try to make these unsung stories more moving.

This is a position and a home

■ Zhang Dongpan, reporter of Jiefangjun Daily

On the eve of the Spring Festival, I went to the surface-to-air missile battalion of a certain brigade of the 80th Group Army to conduct an interview. It is located on the edge of the city, and the officers and soldiers stationed here are the pioneers, builders, and watchmen of this barren mountain.

Loess piles, gravel paving, slab houses in rows... Instructor Ke Lin proudly told me that every grass and tree here condensed their sweat. In 2019, officers and soldiers with spades and pickaxes braved the wind and rain to level the mountains and build high ground, and for more than three years, they have always stuck here with a fighting attitude, with thousands of lights behind them, and starry rivers in the sky, they are "in a small highland, their hearts are long for the motherland."

At the end of the interview, the camp was preparing for the upcoming Spring Festival, with a warm red light from hanging lanterns, and the handwritten "Fu" characters of soldiers were pasted on the door panels... The year here is simple but warm, because it is a position and a home.

Rush to spring

■ Zhu Baiyan, reporter of Jiefangjun Daily

"Everything for the health of the people", this is the inscription on the stone tablet in front of the outpatient building of the Central Theater General Hospital. At the critical moment when epidemic prevention and control has entered a new stage, I had the privilege of interviewing a group of "white angels" who stood by their positions.

In the more than 40 minutes of the interview, Fang Qing, an emergency department doctor, received three work calls and temporarily left one to deal with a sudden emergency; Ye Ming, an emergency department doctor who had just finished his night shift, had red eyes, but he was not sleepy, he had just returned from a mission in Tibet and voluntarily gave up his vacation... There are many similar things, and to be able to witness the retrograde march of medical staff, to record their stories of their indomitable charge, and to tell their stories to more people, I feel more and more fortunate and responsible.

At the end of the interview, I looked back at the gate of the Central Theater General Hospital, and vehicles and pedestrians went in and out for a moment. At that time, Wuhan was cooling down, but I felt that these people who were in a hurry were rushing to spring.

A heavy responsibility lies on your shoulders

Military correspondents' mission is assumed

■ Jiefangjun Bao reporter Lai Wenyong

The mission requirements of transformation and reinvention give rise to a sense of urgency; The pursuit of winning has become the driving force for seeking breakthroughs. During the interview with a certain brigade of the Eastern Theater Army, I witnessed with my own eyes the actual actions of officers and men to forge ahead courageously based on their posts.

Take the initiative to meet the needs of operations, break the traditional training thinking, and focus on improving the new domain and new quality combat effectiveness and innovative combat methods... Walking in the barracks, I was touched by the tension of the officers and men, which is not only an atmosphere, but also a mission and responsibility.

In the same way, as a military reporter, it is his duty to use pen and ink as a sharp knife to portray the imprint of grassroots officers and soldiers to strengthen the army, and it is the mission to show the demeanor of the times in which officers and men of the army are capable of martial arts, sacrifice and dedication, loyal to the mission, and practice the purpose.

Faithfully record the footprints of strong troops

■ Jiefangjun Daily reporter Chen Dianhong

Fighters fly day and night, iron armor continues to roar, and battleships continue to sail to the deep blue... The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China sounded the clarion call to strengthen the army, looking at today's blue sky, land, and sea, and everywhere is a figure of endeavor; Going deep into the barracks to interview, I saw that the vast number of officers and men were tackling difficult problems day and night, struggling with passion, charging forward without hesitation, racing against time to run out of the "acceleration" of the strong army, and writing one after another with practical actions to answer the strong army loyal to the mission.

I am deeply inspired by the new landscape and new style of the troops' training and preparation, and I have strengthened my belief in faithfully recording the footprints of the strong army with a pen. As a military correspondent, this is my mission and my honor.

Tell the story of strengthening the army

■ Jiefangjun Daily reporter Kang Zizhan

Digging deeper into the grassroots and zooming in closer, I discovered that behind each grand theme, there are countless wonderful and vivid narratives.

White Mountain Black Water, Second Class Sergeant Xian Yulong, behind the scenes to control unmanned vehicles for accurate delivery; Somewhere in East China, pilot Gu Chenyu kept an eye on the onboard equipment in the cabin, and he was out of line of sight... The smoke of war on the training ground reflected the vivid practice of officers and men in studying, propagating, and implementing the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress. During the interviews, officers and men all agreed that new achievements should be made in striding forward on a new journey.

This also reminds me that as a military journalist, we must be brave and good at acting, focus on achieving the goal of 100 years since the founding of the army on schedule, closely follow the dynamics of military training and preparation, dig deep into typical experiences and practices, tell the story of strengthening the army, and spread the voice of the Chinese army.

Journey of struggle, witness together

■ Qian Xiaohu, reporter of Jiefangjun Daily

The 20th CPC National Congress marked a new era orientation for the journey of strengthening the army. During this interview activity, I saw the vivid scene of the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress entering the grassroots level and approaching officers and soldiers, and felt the high fighting spirit of the vast number of officers and men greeting the centenary of the founding of the army with a vigorous and vigorous attitude.

Officers and men said: To achieve the goal of 100 years since the founding of the army as scheduled, we will face many predictable and unpredictable risks and challenges, and we must be prepared to withstand the major test of high winds and waves and even stormy seas. To achieve this goal, it is a race with the opponent, and it is necessary to take extraordinary measures, race against time to train the troops, and run faster "acceleration" than the opponent... Their words are sonorous and their eyes are firm, which is moving. I hope that through one manuscript, I can record and witness their new achievements on their new journey, anchor the heroic posture of the center's task to go all out and achieve the deadline.

Go ahead

Feel with your heart and start from the "new"

■ Jiefangjun Daily reporter Peng Bingjie

From the Yudong Plain to the land of Pingyang, everywhere you can see the gratifying changes in the building of the people's army and economic and social development in the new era.

Today, Lankao is full of paulownia and high-rise buildings, and the promise of "building a beautiful village suitable for living and work" has been transformed into an action of joint construction between the military and the people; Strolling through Linfen, reminiscing about the past, and the fertile soil where the blood of martyrs was once spilled, red tourism "fired", helping to promote the new vitality of the old revolutionary area.

In-depth grassroots research and interviews, I am very excited to witness the new era, new development and new changes, and I am full of pride in looking forward to the new era and new journey and new great deeds. Feeling from the heart, the happy smiling faces of the masses and children in the old district reflect the original mission of the Communist Party of China and the People's Army; Proceeding from the "new" and studying, propagating, and implementing the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, the strugglers of the new era are striding toward winning new victories in comprehensively building a modern socialist country.

The wind spreads its wings and carries dreams high

■ Li Jianwen, reporter of Jiefangjun Daily

During an interview with the Air Force Bomber Air Unit, I was once attracted by a photo in the honor room: Taiwan's Yushan Mountain looming under the mist, and under the dome, the "God of War" soared through the clouds and fog.

This photo records the experience of Li Rui, the captain of the long aircraft, cruising around Taiwan at night in the H-6K. Stepping into a new era, the People's Air Force represented by this unit has flown out one brand-new trail after another.

Looking at the photo, my thoughts spread: Why can the People's Air Force fly past routes that have not been flown over? What keeps exploring new airspace? These questions were answered in the course of this interview - the People's Air Force not only has a "new sword" that flies out in the new era, but also a "backbone" that flies out. "With the power of the good wind, send me to Qingyun." It is the clouds and the long wind of the new era that hold up the "God of War" and fly out of the new track of winning the battle with a strong army.

Look up at the stars and keep your feet on the ground

■ Wang Lingshuo, reporter of Jiefangjun Daily

On the eve of the Spring Festival, I came to Beijing Aerospace City for an interview. Seeing the rigorousness and tirelessness of Chinese astronauts up close, I understood that behind the blooming of dreams, there is always down-to-earth cultivation.

Their dedication and perseverance are difficult to describe in words, so I can only use the most simple language to pay tribute to the efforts of Chinese astronauts along the way. Those ordinary but firm faces, those silent but unrepentant perseverance, encourage me and inspire me, let me use the most sincere words flowing from my heart to write their stories.

The starry sky is vast, and the pace of China's space exploration is non-stop. Like them, I am willing to continue to forge ahead.

Charge, gesture of the times

Li Haoran, reporter of Jiefangjun Daily

Energetic young officers and soldiers, passionate military academy instructors... Looking back on this interview, the charging posture maintained by these young people who were not much different from my age left an indelible mark on my mind.

From the capital Beijing to the snowy plateau, the deputy to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the second-class sergeant of a regiment of the Joint Logistics Support Force traveled all the way to Yuedong, and his steps never stopped, bringing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Party from the venue to the training ground as soon as possible; From the shores of the Xiangjiang River to the front line of exercise and training, the scientific and technological innovation team of the National University of Defense Technology has only competed for the day, aiming at the forefront of world science and technology to engage in research, go deep into the end of the army to engage in services, and accelerate the transformation of science and technology into combat effectiveness...

Starlight doesn't ask the dreamer. These young faces and extraordinary charges continue to inspire me to follow their steps and write the common dream story of our time.
