Step into the battle station and get close to the heart of the soldier

What is the real "grassroots"? Whenever I go to the grassroots level, I think about this question in addition to writing.
Participating in this themed interview activity, I have gained some new experience. In a certain destroyer detachment of the Navy, I went deep into the combat position of the electromechanical troops, and as soon as I entered the engine room, a heat wave mixed with a strong smell of engine oil hit me head-on, and the rumbling machine released scorching heat ... Communicating with officers and soldiers in such an environment, experiencing their hardships and struggles, and feeling their enthusiasm and dedication, the end of the pen will unconsciously reveal true feelings and strength. I think this is the proper meaning of "going to the grassroots".
Plunge into the pile of troops and bow to the "four forces"

Going to the grassroots level to write good news is my biggest impression of participating in the "New Era, New Journey, New Cause" themed interview activity.
Although modern means of communication are diverse, neither telephone nor video can replace being on the front line. Only by constantly honing foot power, eye power, brain power, and pen power, and truly facing officers and soldiers, can we capture many vivid details that are difficult to discover in remote interviews. Sometimes, a single action or expression of the interviewee will add a lot to the manuscript.
Therefore, no matter how informatization develops, no matter how advanced the intelligent reporting equipment is, "news under the footboard" is always the interview concept that our reporters must follow; "Closer to the news scene, closer to the news scene" is always the constant pursuit of journalists.
Read more carefully, write more

"Where are our combat adversaries? What kind of equipment are they? What level are they? What are they doing? What are we going to do? "The motherland is named after us with the first, and we repay the motherland with the first." This is not my first trip to the Pioneer Flying Group, but every time I walk into the air service building and see the slogan hanging in the corridor, I am always moved by reverence and emotion.
When I go there to interview, I always talk about home, but when it comes to training, the officers and soldiers talk about it and it is difficult to finish. For more than 70 years of conquest in the South and the North, the scourge of time has condensed the belief of "first" into the solemn commitment of this unit to its revolutionary ancestors and to the people of the motherland, which has long been engraved in the bones.
Every time I interview, I deeply feel that the motherland is being guarded by so many lovely and respectable officers and soldiers, so I always want to read more carefully and write more, so as not to live up to their bloody youth.
Temper bloody tiger qi on the fiery frontline

In this interview, I came to the "Counter-Terrorism Sharp Squadron" of the Xinjiang Armed Police Corps, followed the footsteps of President Xi Jinping during his inspection, and followed the squad leader Wu Jiao into the squadron's honor room. Powerful earth bombs, cold machetes, and bloodstained combat uniforms all silently tell the heroic deeds of the officers and men of the squadron in the fight against terrorism.
Wu Jiao told me that in order to temper the actual combat skills of officers and men, in recent years, they have repeatedly challenged the limits in the depths of the desert, the Gobi wilderness, and the mountains and valleys. Looking at these objects and listening to these stories, I deeply feel that mission and responsibility, loyalty and dedication are the eternal value pursuit of soldiers.
As a soldier and a war correspondent, like these special operators, I want to integrate the cultivation of fighting spirit into every interview and writing, cultivate the bloody tiger spirit of the brush stroke, and send back hard news from the hot frontline.
Harvest moved
Gan as a "waiter"

"It's our responsibility." Director Wang said, "After more than 30 years as a soldier, unfortunately I have never been on the battlefield. This passage is a memorable one. From soldiers to military doctors, from ordinary doctors to department heads, Wang Tao has never forgotten his original intention of serving combat effectiveness. People who pursue their ideals, no matter what position they are in, will do their best to shine. Perhaps, Wang Tao and his comrades will leave the barracks one day, but as long as there is still such a sincere heart, it will shine wherever they go.
There is an obscurity that is most moving

Most of my interviewees are far from the city and deep in the mountains. In the newspaper manuscripts, their locations are often expressed as "a certain department," "a certain brigade," "a certain construction position," and "a certain scientific research site," and there are many "such" characters, revealing the special mission, special task, and special post of the officers and men of the rocket, and also reflecting the loyal dedication of thousands of officers and men who have been unknown for many years. Sticking to the "Underground Dragon Palace" without distinction between day and night and difficult to discern directions, unable to see sunlight for a long time; After enlisting, he followed the troops to carry out tasks in Tiannanhaibei, and did not return to the main camp until he was retired; After committing to a major task, he "lost contact" with his family... During the interview, I asked the officers and soldiers again and again: What makes you willing to be lonely and full of energy? The answers of the officers and soldiers varied, but there was only one point: the sacred mission on the shoulders!
Whether in the rolling mountains or in the noisy construction positions, I can always feel the strength of these officers and men to forge ahead without saying anything. I would like to focus on them and try to make these unsung stories more moving.
This is a position and a home

On the eve of the Spring Festival, I went to the surface-to-air missile battalion of a certain brigade of the 80th Group Army to conduct an interview. It is located on the edge of the city, and the officers and soldiers stationed here are the pioneers, builders, and watchmen of this barren mountain.
Loess piles, gravel paving, slab houses in rows... Instructor Ke Lin proudly told me that every grass and tree here condensed their sweat. In 2019, officers and soldiers with spades and pickaxes braved the wind and rain to level the mountains and build high ground, and for more than three years, they have always stuck here with a fighting attitude, with thousands of lights behind them, and starry rivers in the sky, they are "in a small highland, their hearts are long for the motherland."
At the end of the interview, the camp was preparing for the upcoming Spring Festival, with a warm red light from hanging lanterns, and the handwritten "Fu" characters of soldiers were pasted on the door panels... The year here is simple but warm, because it is a position and a home.
Rush to spring

"Everything for the health of the people", this is the inscription on the stone tablet in front of the outpatient building of the Central Theater General Hospital. At the critical moment when epidemic prevention and control has entered a new stage, I had the privilege of interviewing a group of "white angels" who stood by their positions.
In the more than 40 minutes of the interview, Fang Qing, an emergency department doctor, received three work calls and temporarily left one to deal with a sudden emergency; Ye Ming, an emergency department doctor who had just finished his night shift, had red eyes, but he was not sleepy, he had just returned from a mission in Tibet and voluntarily gave up his vacation... There are many similar things, and to be able to witness the retrograde march of medical staff, to record their stories of their indomitable charge, and to tell their stories to more people, I feel more and more fortunate and responsible.
At the end of the interview, I looked back at the gate of the Central Theater General Hospital, and vehicles and pedestrians went in and out for a moment. At that time, Wuhan was cooling down, but I felt that these people who were in a hurry were rushing to spring.
A heavy responsibility lies on your shoulders
Military correspondents' mission is assumed

During the interview with a certain brigade of the Eastern Theater Army, I witnessed with my own eyes the actual actions of officers and men to forge ahead courageously based on their posts.
Take the initiative to meet the needs of operations, break the traditional training thinking, and focus on improving the new domain and new quality combat effectiveness and innovative combat methods... Walking in the barracks, I was touched by the tension of the officers and men, which is not only an atmosphere, but also a mission and responsibility.
In the same way, as a military reporter, it is his duty to use pen and ink as a sharp knife to portray the imprint of grassroots officers and soldiers to strengthen the army, and it is the mission to show the demeanor of the times in which officers and men of the army are capable of martial arts, sacrifice and dedication, loyal to the mission, and practice the purpose.
Faithfully record the footprints of strong troops

White Mountain Black Water, Second Class Sergeant Xian Yulong, behind the scenes to control unmanned vehicles for accurate delivery; Somewhere in East China, pilot Gu Chenyu kept an eye on the onboard equipment in the cabin, and he was out of line of sight... During the interviews, officers and men all agreed that new achievements should be made in striding forward on a new journey.
This also reminds me that as a military journalist, we must be brave and good at acting, focus on achieving the goal of 100 years since the founding of the army on schedule, closely follow the dynamics of military training and preparation, dig deep into typical experiences and practices, tell the story of strengthening the army, and spread the voice of the Chinese army.
Journey of struggle, witness together
