Dragon and lion dances, rice cakes, spring couplings, blessing characters... As an "old show" before the Lunar New Year, the scene is full of familiar taste of the New Year and the taste of happiness.
Watching a folklore show amid the sound of gongs and drums is a great way to welcome the New Year. Here, traditional programs such as dragon dance, lion dance, phoenix dance, pavilion lifting, fish lantern, incense stool, dance of heavenly halberd, lake boat, boat boxing, Hanfu show and other traditional programs were staged in turn, and the citizens watched with relish and couldn't help but applaud.
Over there, there were long queues in front of the booths of special snacks such as sugar paintings, begonia cakes, dingsheng cakes, shredded radish cakes, and osmanthus rice cakes. Many citizens watched the production process while tasting, and did not forget to take a few copies home when they left. Although there were many people in line, everyone huddled together, talking and laughing, and there was a bit of a taste of gathering in groups for the New Year.
While the booths lingered, there was a muffled sound of "boom" not far away, and the popcorn was out of the pot! This is the taste that many parents remember. "Dad ate this when he was a child, buy you a bag too!" The children at the scene were particularly excited, happily shuttling between each booth.
At the Usuda Rice Cake Competition, 11 "strongest" Usu Rice Cake teams from all towns (streets) in the city competed in the craft of rice cake. Make a fire, steam powder, add water, put into the mortar, and the snow-white glutinous rice flour melts into a ball in the stone mortar. The teachers took turns to fight, and the shouts of "hey, hey, hey" resounded throughout the audience.
In the white mist, the snow-white rice cake is quickly completed, and the steaming rice cake exudes an intoxicating fragrance and exudes an increasingly strong New Year's flavor. "The taste of the rice cake is strong, and the taste is enough to beat it yourself." Onlookers couldn't wait to buy a few copies, with smiles on their faces.
On the festival of family reunion, taking a family photo and freezing the warm time of the family is a ritual thing. This year, the Municipal Cultural Center continued to cooperate with the Municipal Photographers Association to take free New Year family portraits for citizens, and photographers divided up their work to shoot, cut and print, and the photos were delivered to the citizens in a few minutes.
