This is the ninth film in the "Bear Haunted" series. Producer Shang Linlin said that the film is defined as a work that uses science fiction imagination to appeal for the companionship of reality. Xiong Da and Xiong Er return to the place where their dreams began, and use the growth gained through adventure to protect their long-lost family relationship. Director Lin Yongchang recalled the inspiration he took from many mothers. Post-production director and Xiong Er voice voice Zhang Bingjun said that the line processing is tense and moving. "Chinese expressing love is implicit, but (grown up) Xiong Er can call (strange) mother without scruples, and instantly become a child who sticks to his mother."
Xiong Daxiong II uses Mama Bear's amber stone as a clue to start an adventure to find Mama.
