My Journey to the Arctic (7) (August 27, 2019)

Walking on the seawall that extends to the pier, here I saw the bronze statue of the daughter of the sea (mermaid), the symbol of the city of Copenhagen. It is as famous as the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the church in Rome, and the Tower Bridge in London.

The "mermaid" sits on a large rock on the surface of the sea and seems to be meditating, expecting ... It is Danish sculptor Edward. Erikson was cast in bronze in 1912, based on the heroine in Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale The Daughter of the Sea.

I believe that every friend who has visited Copenhagen will be impressed by the continuous flow of bicycles on the streets. With more than 62% of residents using bicycles to commute to work or school, it's a veritable "bike city." Traffic rules and convenient facilities make Copenhagen the world's most bike-friendly city.
