This incident touched Montag very deeply. He got home and took a book from his clothes that he had just stolen and put it under his pillow. He decided to read the book and see what was in it, what energy allowed the old woman to burn it with the book. After that, he forcibly dragged his wife to read, behaved abnormally in front of the women and the fire captain, and sought the help of the old man to find an opportunity to print the existing collection of books, which led to the destruction of his books and the burning of the house, and the fire captain was chased by the hounds to escape for his life.
