What was the scene of the street left behind in Japan? Just four years ago, newspapers reported that women were forced into pornography in the "Night Street" of the hot springs. So now what? Shocked by the new reality of the coronavirus disaster, Mr. Takaaki Yagizawa, a non-fiction writer who has seen Japan from the waitresses (Kadokawa Bunko) and "A Journey of Memories of the Red Light District of the Blue Line" (Shueisha Bunko) and other works, went for a walk around the local area and wrote a documentary reportage (published in two parts)

In the Sengoku period (1575) of Japan, Oda Nobunaga's iron cannon three-dan shooting was famous for the Battle of Nagashina, and the Takeda Kata's soldiers prepared it to heal the wounds of the mind and body. For about 450 years, although the costumes of people who came and went were different, the hearts of people who were fascinated by hot springs did not change. Even in the period when the covid-19 epidemic did not mark the end of the coronavirus epidemic, many tourists visited the area on the historic stone tatami.

More than 300 stone sections, illuminated by lights, the steaming air flowing in from the hot spring dormitory, causing travel. Immersed in that kind of scenery, I feel that I also want to enter the hot spring and relax.

I visited Ikambo because of my interest in the events that happened 4 years ago and as a hot spring in Street.

The incident refers to the forcible forced pornography of seven Cambodian women in the Sinak shop (スナック: a bar serving simple food) at Ikaho Onsen from November to December 2016, suspected of violating the Immigration Bureau's Refugee Law, and two Japanese and a Thai woman were arrested.

According to the Sankei Shimbun, two Japanese men forcibly forced Cambodian women into pornography at a restaurant "GOLD" in Numata City, an unknown custom shop in Ikaho Onsen.

<h1 class= "pgc-h-center-line" > Cambodian waitress</h1>

The reason for the case was that the women forced into the sex industry were Cambodians. I started my first interview with many Thai prostitutes in the Red Light District of Yokohama Gold City in the early 2000s. In the center of Kanto, 20 years ago, there were many Thai waitresses not only in Kanecho, but also in Tsuchiura in Ibaraki Prefecture, Saku in Nagano Prefecture, Izu Nagaoka in Shizuoka Prefecture, Ikamiho in this visit, and KamanoJima in Mie Prefecture, called Red Light Island.

Illegal streets for Thai women, disappeared from haircuts and the recent slump. In these cases, Cambodian women are forced into pornography services and cannot feel the changing times. Moreover, according to news reports, Cambodian women also work in shops run by Thai women.

From now on, about 20 years ago, it was more difficult for people in Southeast Asia to obtain tourist visas in Japan than it is now. Most of the Thai women in Golden Street are arranged as brokers by Thais living in Japan or long-term residents of Japan, and they enter Japan with a debt of 5 million yen.

Briefly explain the details of the debt, the Thai operator who arranged the visa, the broker who sold to the Japanese Snak and the Red Light District, and then the Snak who accepted it, the total amount of various expenses was 5 million yen.

Thai waitresses paid off their debts in about half a year and chose where they wanted to work. Because the debt disappears and there is no qualification to work, etc., the place where you can work is necessarily the place where you can engage in pornography services in the places described above.

They worked endlessly to send money to their hometowns, returned to their homes, unfortunately contracted HIV, and there were also women who died of AIDS in Japan. Thai women risked their lives to come to Japan to work in the sex industry. Japan is truly an island nation in the East.

Over the next 20 years, the Red Light District faded away, and in Japan's economic downturn, not Thais but Cambodian women engaged in pornography services. Moreover, Cambodians believe more strongly that the Thais were once forced to do so.

In thailand, where the economy is developing, tourist visas are easy to obtain, but the obstacles to going to Japan are not high. Middlemen turned to Cambodia, whose economy was poorer than Thailand's. The Asian economic hierarchy is also reflected in pornographic services as one of the economic activities.

<h1 class= "pgc-h-center-line" > "there are 200 foreign waitresses on the street."</h1>

"It was that incident on the street of foreigners." I know, but it's a bit far from here, so it's not too clear. By 10 years ago, there were a lot of Thais or foreigners in the neighborhood."

Local women say shops that force Cambodians to engage in pornography services are in what is known as Foreigners Street.

Known as the Foreigner Street, families and couples constantly create an atmosphere in the hot spring town, unlike the illuminated stone tatami mats. The stone tatami is Ikami's face, which can be said to be the face behind it.

Discover the place of the event shop and find that there are public bill bills and other mail scattered around the door, so there is no atmosphere of business.

Next to the shop is a target shop and there is a Thai restaurant next to it. There were stickers on the door of the restaurant, which were temporarily closed due to the impact of the new crown virus.

One of my friends is a Japanese named Mr. Toyokawa who used to live in Thailand. Detailed thai situation, since the interview I was often taken care of. In order to continue to Snak, Thailand, on the outskirts of Kanto, he also took it to Ikamiho. Of course, I am also aware of incidents in which Cambodians have been forced to engage in pornography services.

I also listened to Mr. Toyokawa during this interview.

"Because cambodians' businesses were banned, gangster-run shops were also discovered in 2012 because of pornography services. Before the Cambodians used them, Thais and Japanese used them for. At that time, the name of the shop was "Dream". Newspapers reported that the name of the store is unknown, but after the last ban, there was no sign like that, right?

According to Mr. Toyokawa, the heyday of Ikaho's Outsider Street was from the bubble period to the Nagano Olympics, and in the early 2000s there were 200 Thai-centric foreign sex workers. The remnants of that time are Saka's name. During the Nagano Olympics, many Thai workers worked on the spot, and they lost money for the sake of their compatriots, and their fellow sex workers worked in Nagano and Gunma prefectures. By the way, the posthumous work of novelist Mizumi Tsuneyoshi, famous for his "Hungry Straits", depicts the exchange between a Thai waitress and a man in Saku, Nagano Prefecture.

Mr. Toyokawa said that until 10 years ago, Snak, who was a foreigner, was more like a bar than a restaurant. Have been to the "dream" that was discovered.

"Yes" counters, sofas and cushions. I think it was originally a tavern modification. At first I wanted to drink slowly, but it was not the atmosphere of drinking. There are Thai and Japanese waitresses, and the drinks cost 3,000 yen, and the waitresses' drinks are 1,000 yen."

It is said that the market is 20,000 yen an hour, ...

That experience was later also Akaho's "dream" as well.

<h1 class="pgc-h-center-line" > "There's a lot of it here!" they've all been caught."</h1>

On this day, I decided to stop at Ikopho Onsen and walk in the lively Foreigner Street. People nearby said that there are still several Snak shops open after 7 p.m., so take a breath in the hotel room and go to Foreigners Street.

Walking past the hotel, the dim slope shimmered. Pozley and lights. During the day, snacks, which looked like ruins, were lit up with neon lights.

Entering a snack, probably just opened and not looking like a guest, two women were busy walking around. Sitting on the sofa, the other party is a Thai waitress.

The woman sitting next to me named Norn, although a bit accented, spoke Japanese. From that point on, I know you've been in Japan for a long time. The woman sitting opposite, Mary, could hardly speak Japanese.

"I'm sorry. She doesn't speak a lot of Japanese. Fluent in English."

Worry about me, Norn said. Speaking to Mary in less than english, she returned fluently, although the pronunciation was difficult to hear.

Norn said he has been in Japan for 20 years.

"I hate winter in Japan. The slope is dangerous, unlike in Thailand, as if it were in a refrigerator."

As I said unloving words, I watched the time and slowly thought about what had happened before.

"There used to be a lot of Thais, right?"

"There are a lot of them here. All were caught. I have a visa so it's okay."

Because Norn has a Japanese husband, he doesn't have to cross the dangerous bridge like a woman working on a tourist visa. Because life after marriage continues, it feels like a temporary job at Snack.

I didn't particularly hate the atmosphere of that topic, so I went deeper and looked at it.

Wasn't it too bad when I got to the point, my tone was not good, and I began to be wary.

For some reason, I left the shop in an awkward atmosphere. The slopes of Foreigner Street are getting darker.

I always want to hear about Thai women related to Ikamho Onsen. One day, when I was in trouble, I went to consult Mr. Toyokawa.

"Some incident!" happened in Snak, Ikaho Onsen, Japan. The inside scene was banned in the hot springs of the Cambodian waitress "There are 200 foreign waitresses on the street" "There are many here! They've all been caught."
