As soon as they arrived at Yantai Zoo, keepers and veterinarians began to get busy, first putting the "king" into the treatment cage for further observation and treatment, at this time, the "king" did not have the teeth and claws of the past, but curled up in the corner of the cage motionless. Seeing the mandrill disease like this, everyone can be anxious, if not treated in time, it will slowly suffer to death. After careful observation, the veterinarian found that the "Dawang" systemic edema, the lower body was particularly serious, through blood collection examination, the "Dawang" liver was not good, suspected of tumor risk. In order to find the cause as soon as possible and make the "king" get better, the zoo contacted the pet hospital to do a comprehensive and systematic examination for the "king".

After arriving at the hospital, the veterinarian gave "Dawang" another injection of anesthetic, and 20 minutes later, the anesthesia began to work, and I saw "Dawang" standing up leisurely and then fell to the ground without moving, and the keeper poked it with a bamboo pole through the iron net, and after seeing no response, everyone sent the mandrill to the treatment room. The treatment room of more than ten square meters is very well-lit, and there is also an isolation observation room inside. The in-room medical equipment is complete, and conventional and emergency medicines are ready. After putting the "king" on the treatment bed, several doctors had a clear division of labor and began to get busy, some measured the heartbeat, some measured blood pressure, some observed its reaction, after smearing the disinfectant, the doctor shaved the belly of the "king", and exposed the belly with a few clippers. The whole diagnosis and treatment process was carried out in an orderly manner, and the doctor hurried to do ultrasound and CT examination while observing its condition. At about 12 o'clock, the examination was successfully completed, and the "king" was sent to the guardianship room for observation. Combined with B-ultrasound, CT results and systemic palpation, veterinarians first ruled out the possibility of liver tumors, and finally diagnosed "Dawang" as hypoproteinemia, accompanied by liver ascites. Immediately, President Jiang of the Veterinary Hospital formulated a medical plan for "Dawang", under the premise of appropriate swelling, controlled further infection, carried out symptomatic treatment, and the animal canteen also researched and formulated high-protein recipes according to the doctor's advice, making nutritious, delicious and easy-to-digest "sick rice" for "Dawang".
