Phalaenopsis is native to tropical rainforests in Eurasia, North Africa, North America and Central America, and is a climate that prefers high temperature, high humidity, ventilation and ventilation; Not resistant to waterlogging, resistant to semi-shade environment, avoid direct sunlight, avoid stagnant water, fear of cold epiphytes. With many colors, beautiful shapes and long flowering periods, it is a famous ornamental flower. Known as the "Queen of Yanglan".
Although Phalaenopsis is beautiful, it is notoriously difficult to raise. Today, I will tell you with my own conservation experience that although Phalaenopsis orchids are difficult to raise, they can still be raised.
One day in February 2021, I suddenly wanted to buy potted New Year's Eve flowers to decorate the New Year atmosphere at home. So in the flower shop, I spent more than 300 and bought a pot of 10 seedlings of Phalaenopsis. This is also my first time raising Phalaenopsis. The owner is better, and told me that the temperature of the Phalaenopsis orchid should not be low, not stuffy, and the moss substrate should be moist, but not stagnant water. Two vials of nutrient solution were also delivered. After Phalaenopsis moved home, the atmosphere at home was immediately different, and the taste of the year was much stronger, and everyone in the family liked it very much.
But after a few days, Phalaenopsis obviously dehydrated and wilted, especially the Phalaenopsis orchid that first bloomed, the feeling of flesh and flesh was gone, becoming as thin as pieces of paper, and the color was light. I checked the moss and found that it was dry, so I quickly watered it. The whole Phalaenopsis plant regained its spirit, but the first one that bloomed was gone forever.
In the days that followed, I often checked the wetness and dryness of the moss, and found that it was a little dry, so I quickly watered some water to ensure that the plants were moist. But every few days, the flowers will still fall off, and the leaves will show a little sign of dehydration, which makes me scratch my head and go to the flower shop owner to ask about the maintenance experience.
The boss asked me about the temperature in my home, and I suddenly understood that the temperature in my home was too high and hot. (As an aside, the property management is very good, the heating supply is particularly good, and we wear short-sleeved singlets at home in winter.) ）
When I got home, I turned off the heating a bit. But Phalaenopsis is still striding farther and farther on the road of yellow leaves falling flowers, and my heart is broken. There is a heart to change the substrate for the pot, but the Phalaenopsis orchid is still in flowering. Around the middle of February of the lunar calendar, all the flowers are gone.
I pulled the Phalaenopsis out of the culture cup and cleaned up the old moss, only to find that the roots were rotten. Empty roots, rotten roots, and broken roots account for nine out of ten. Of the 10 Phalaenopsis, the slightly better roots, only two or three. I cleaned up the rotten roots and yellow leaves, cut off the flower stems, replaced them with new moss, and replanted them in plastic culture cups. Wait for it to come to life.
However, I treated Phalaenopsis like my first love, and Phalaenopsis abused me a thousand times. Last year, although I still kept watering it, applying nutrient solution, and adjusting the growing environment, Phalaenopsis still died one or two plants at intervals, and one or two plants died every once in a while; By the end of the year, only 1 of the original 10 plants had died, and the only surviving sapling had changed from a large seedling to a small seedling.
I no longer have 10 points of confidence in the conservation of Phalaenopsis. For the last pot of Phalaenopsis orchids, which were barely alive, they took off plastic culture cups, added moss, planted them in a ceramic pot, and threw them on the balcony flower stand, in addition to normal watering, they did not take too much care.
Unexpectedly, it was this seedling that ignited my confidence in raising Phalaenopsis. After about a month or so, a small tender new leaf grew in the center of the Phalaenopsis orchid, and out of curiosity, I peeled off the moss at the root of the Phalaenopsis and found that two new roots of only about two or three centimeters had grown on the phosphorus stem. At that time, I couldn't mention how happy I was.
As a novice in raising Phalaenopsis, I don't have a better way than watering. Around June this year, Phalaenopsis pulled out a tiny 10-centimeter-long flower arrow, which was another unexpected thing.
Not long after, a moist and lovely bud appeared from a 10-cm-long flower arrow, which bloomed into a beautiful Phalaenopsis orchid with purple flesh.

When this Phalaenopsis bloomed, I suddenly felt that all the difficulties I had experienced in the previous conservation process were worth it. This Phalaenopsis bloom bloomed for more than two months, becoming the most beautiful scenery in the home during that time.
This is my first Phalaenopsis experience. Let's talk about my second experience.
In May of this year, my friend gave me a purple-spotted Phalaenopsis orchid. Because Phalaenopsis orchids are still covered with plastic culture cups, they can't stand lightly on top-heavy; So, as soon as it arrived, I found a slightly larger plastic transparent lunch box, filled it with more moss, changed the pot for Phalaenopsis orchids, and kept it in a light, well-ventilated corner of my home.

This pot of Phalaenopsis is very face-giving, and from May to the end of July, the leaves show no signs of dehydration. After the flowers were gone, I cut the arrows and stocked them in the corner of the balcony. Sometimes I also observe the growth, and from the transparent lunch box, you can clearly see that the root system grows thick, strong, many and long.
Some time ago, the triangular plum at home was preparing to differentiate the flower buds, and I was worried about the stunted development of the flower buds, so I sprayed all the flowers with potassium dihydrogen phosphate fertilizer water several times. I don't know if potassium dihydrogen phosphate played a role, or Phalaenopsis orchids have reached the season of differentiation of flower arrows. In the past few days, Phalaenopsis has grown a thick flower arrow, although it has only grown 5cm, but I am confident that it will soon repay me with full flowers for my careful maintenance.
