In addition, gold pieces in the shape of cockroaches and lotus flowers were found, as well as some funeral ornaments, stone mortars and pottery that may have been used for embalming.

Archaeologists believe that the mummy's true tongue was removed during embalming and replaced with a gold item so that the deceased could speak to Osiris in the afterlife.

In Egyptian mythology, Osiris was the "Lord of the Underworld" and judge of the dead, and one of the most important gods of ancient Egypt.

According to mythology, Osiris, the god of the dead, was killed and cut to pieces, scattered throughout Egypt.

Osiris's sister and wife Isis were able to resurrect her husband after finding all the pieces and making him whole.

It is believed that the presence of the golden tongue may have enabled the deceased to persuade Osiris to show mercy for their souls.
