Uruguay
Fundamentals: Uruguay was the champion of the first FIFA World Cup, defeating Argentina 4-2 at home in 1930 to win the inaugural World Cup. The best results of the World Cup were the champions in 1930 and 1950. Uruguay won the Copa America 3–0 against Paraguay in 2011 to win the Copa America for the 15th time, becoming one of the most won Copa Americas.
Head coach: Uruguay coach Diego Alonso, 47, played for Shanghai Shenhua as a player, and after retiring from football, he managed several Mexican clubs, last coaching MLS new team Miami Internacional, before succeeding Tabares as Uruguay's new manager in December 2021. History of the two teams: The two sides have met twice in the World Cup, and Uruguay have won both. Uruguay finished third in the South American qualifiers, beating Peru, Colombia and Chile to qualify directly for the World Cup.

The overall squad of the South Korean team is older, and the only ones with strength and impact are the injured Son Heung-min and Wolves Hwang Hee-chan.
