When I went to Meihuazhou, my purpose was very clear, that is, to shoot two thousand-year-old ginkgo trees. Looking at the introduction board next to it, I learned that the height of both trees is about 29 meters, and the age of both trees is more than 1240 years; The east "East Apricot" is male, and the west "West Apricot" is female; It is said that "East Apricot" was planted by the monks of the Stone Buddha Temple (now rebuilt), and "West Apricot" was planted by nuns of the Meihuaan (now disappeared); According to the age of Ginkgo, the monks and nuns were all from the Tang Dynasty; The two ginkgo plants look at each other across the river, and there is a state of "one water, and the veins are silent".
I deliberately chose the day of light snow because I felt that the second solar term of winter had arrived, and the ginkgo biloba should have turned yellow a long time ago. When I saw the real thing, I was inevitably a little disappointed, far underestimating the youthful vitality of the thousand-year-old ginkgo. The two ginkgo plants are still firm, and the leaves are more green and less yellow. In the future, if I have the opportunity to return to Meihuazhou, I will try to choose the day of solar terms and heavy snow.
When I was photographing "East Apricot", I noticed a statue on the north side of the tree. The monk smiled kindly and looked affectionately at the ginkgo in front of him. I thought, "He planted this ginkgo plant." I picked up my phone and faced the monk, when I suddenly saw golden auspicious clouds on the screen dyeing from the top of his head. My first reaction was – Buddha Light! This effect is amazing! The fly in the ointment is that Basho is particularly dramatic. I hurriedly pressed the shooting button and recorded a video for a few seconds. When I wanted to shoot again, the golden auspicious clouds were long gone, and it took no more than 15 seconds from appearance to disappearance.
Afterwards, the more I thought about it, the more strange it became. The statue sits north facing south, it stands to reason that the sun will not appear behind the monk, so where did the golden halo come from? Uncanny! Magical! Such a mysterious low-probability event can only be met by those who are destined for. It can only be said that the fate is wonderful...
