Radar level meter has many advantages, temperature, pressure adaptability is the most significant feature, and in the measurement will not be affected by the volatility of the measured object, its beam energy is very low, in the industrial frequency band can work normally, will not cause any harm to the human body and the environment. The accuracy and precision of the radar level meter are very high, and it must be professionally installed and used correctly to obtain accurate and good measurement results. Therefore, you need to pay attention to the following problems when installing and using.
1. Do not install the equipment in the feeding port, feeding curtain, vortex and other positions, the measured object will produce part of the amplitude when injecting, causing false echoes, resulting in inaccurate data. The vortex will cause irregular liquid level, affect the scattering of microwave signals, cause signal weakening, resulting in incorrect data, so pay attention.
2. The installed container is equipped with a stirrer, which will produce irregular vortices during stirring, causing signal attenuation, and the blades on the stirrer will also reflect microwave signals, causing false data. Especially when the relative permittivity of the object being measured is small and the low level is reached, the agitator has a serious impact on the data detected by the equipment. Therefore, the installation of radar level meter should avoid the vicinity of the agitator.
3. In the face of corrosive and crystallized object liquids, in order to prevent the sensor of the radar level meter from being affected, the instrument model equipped with PTFE protective film and split flange structure is generally used. However, the high temperature resistance of the parts is not too high, and PTFE can only reach 200 °C. Therefore, in order to avoid the impact on the measurement data due to parts, the installation requires a certain safety distance between the flange end face and the highest liquid level.
4. If the installed container is a concave or cone-shaped, then when debugging, you must pay attention to the position of the lowest point of the radar beam to reach the lowest point of the container, if the liquid level of the measured object is lower than the lowest point recorded by the radar beam, then it will not be measured, so the installation is to try to adjust the position of the lowest point to ensure the correctness of the measurement data.
