Tangshan City, Hebei Province
A magnitude 7.8 earthquake
Suddenly in people's sleep
More than 240,000 living beings were buried in rubble
More than 160,000 people were seriously injured
Disaster, destroying tangible buildings
But it can't destroy Chinese
A spirit of tenacity, unity and solidarity
On the day of the earthquake and in a very short time after the earthquake
Rescue forces
From all over the country day and night, rushed to Tangshan
△ The waiting hall of Tangshan Railway Station, which was destroyed by the earthquake
Rush to help!
They travel day and night
Chinese 100,000 soldiers of the People's Liberation Army
Here it comes!
△ The People's Liberation Army ran into the disaster area
Nearly 20,000
A medical team of white-clad warriors
△ The Shanghai medical team used a flashlight as a light source to perform surgery on the injured
Rush to repair communications, railways, highways, bridges
Securing teams with emergency supplies of drinking water
△ Water trucks in the disaster area
Thousands of vehicles rushed to transport relief supplies
Transport the army
△ The workers of Beijing No. 1 Food Factory produced a large amount of bread and biscuits for the people in the disaster area, which were continuously transported to the Tangshan earthquake-stricken area.
If one party has difficulties, the eight parties support it
In frequent aftershocks
They use their hands and the most rudimentary tools
Rob every life
Hold up every hope
A few little devils whimpered and cried. I was anxious: 'What a cry!' Save the living! 'My own shouting voice is trembling..."
Li Fuhua, the first instructor to enter Tangshan, recalled that on the afternoon of July 28, 1976, two-thirds of the soldiers' fingernails had all peeled off, and their hands were blurred with blood and flesh. And these young people are still struggling to use their bloody hands to tear open the hard ruins.

"I am convinced that the People's Liberation Army will definitely come to my rescue!"
Miner Wang Shubin was buried in the ruins for 8 days and 8 nights. Decades later, he vividly remembers more than 100 Pla. Liberation Army fighters digging through the rubble for 10 hours before they rescued him.
Tangshan people who lived for the rest of their lives
Or the rescuer, or the rescued
Or someone who is rescued and then rushes to save someone else
Only Downtown Tangshan
Hundreds of thousands of people escaped from mutual rescue
"The three of us set up a temporary rescue team, listen to my command, and hurry to save people!"
Wang Guoliang, a grassroots cadre at The Tangshan Locomotive and Rolling Stock Factory, immediately took two older children to risk the aftershocks and rescued several people after a family of five escaped from danger.
Because of the continuous fighting for more than three hours, Wang Guoliang was injured in many places all over his body, and the blood bubbles on his hands were larger than peanut grains...
"With so many people killed, we must not sit idly by!"
A strong earthquake occurred, and Master Huang, a sleeping worker, was awakened and ran out of the house with his wife. Hearing the cries for help coming from all around, the couple did not even have time to look closely at their own injuries, and rushed to the rescue.
Within 9 hours of the day of the earthquake, the couple rescued 44 people.

Doctor Zheng Litai's leg was smashed in the earthquake. He endured the pain, first rescued the neighbor's family, gave first aid to 4 injured people who had difficulty suffocation or breathing due to buried pressure, and did hemostasis, bandaging, fixed limbs and other treatments for more than 40 injured people.
Doctor Sun Tieshu was delivering pregnant women during the earthquake. In the critical moment of the collapse of the house, she protected the pregnant woman with her body, and her legs were smashed by the rubble that fell down. After the masses rescued them, she continued to deliver pregnant women despite her pain, and a new life was born safely.
In Tangshan 45 years ago
Everyone has a determined look
Tell the city: Be strong!
Now, 45 years later
Tangshan has also become the epitome of China's power
Prove it to the world
The tribulations of heaven
It will only make the hero's Chinese more united
Tangshan, a city that will never lie down
Interpreting a nation and a country with actions
The great power of unity
No difficulty can overwhelm Chinese!
