Ayers Rock is also one of the 50 must-visit destinations in life by National Geographic and the BBC, and it is listed in the world's top ten last virgin places along with Antarctica, amazon forest, Sahara Desert, and the Grand Canyon of the United States.
I came to the Northern Territory of Australia in 2019 and spent 3 days and 2 nights here, specifically to appreciate the beauty of Ayers Rock.

Ayers Rock is located in the Desert Gobi Strip of the Northern Territory, which is deserted, and the nearest major city is Alice Springs, which is a 460-kilometer drive away, and fortunately there is a tourist camp here.
On the first day we flew from Melbourne to Uluru Airport, we went straight to the camp to check into the hotel, it was already two or three o'clock in the afternoon after renting a car, and it was too early to go out to watch the sunset, so we walked around the camp. There are three hotels in the camp, one each in 3*, 4*, 5*, and there is a caravan area, so visitors can choose according to their budget. There are supermarkets, souvenir shops, car rental companies, gas stations in the camp, and a free shuttle bus to the airport according to the flight time, which is very scientific and convenient.
There is also an observation deck near the camp overlooking Ayers Rock in the distance. Looking at it here, she is a small piece of the desolate earth, but when you get close to it, you will find that its grandeur is far beyond your imagination.
At four o'clock in the afternoon, we began our official journey to Ayers Rock and drove to see the sunset. It's about half an hour by car from the camp.
Ayers Rock takes on different beauties throughout the day depending on the light. Sunset should be the most beautiful time in Ayers Rock.
Between this vast world and earth, she stood proudly and independently, and in the light of the setting sun, it seemed to burn fiercely, red, ochre or orange-red? Its colors are constantly changing. I stared at it for a long time, feeling that human beings were too small in front of it, this is a stone that has experienced hundreds of millions of years of wind and rain, and it has witnessed how much history the earth has.
Here, watching the sunset is the highlight. High-end groups with tour companies will set up tables and champagne here, allowing guests to sit comfortably and enjoy the view while sipping champagne. Of course, most of them are also self-driving guests, and you can directly enjoy the view after parking the car. Just look at the picture below.

Ayers Rock is a sacred mountain in the minds of the indigenous people and has a lofty status. She can't climb, and it is said that anyone who has climbed her before will die, and if you pick up stones there and go home, there will be bad luck. But it's okay to take a hike along her.

Ayers Rock has a circumference of more than 9400 meters, and it takes 3-4 hours to walk around the rock along the walking trail. You know, this is a desert area, it is very hot, and the whole hiking process is a process of exposure to the sun. So we just walked the best of a short section, along the way to see the original inhabitants of the fresco totem.

The exposed part of Ayers Rock on the surface is already amazing, but this is 1/3 of its entire volume, and 2/3 of its volume is buried deep underground. So how did it come about? Some say that it was formed by the movement of the earth's crust, and some say that it was caused by the fall of meteorites. But no matter what, it will continue to exist, silently witnessing the changes of the earth, and the history of mankind may only be a moment in its eyes.
Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park consists of two parts, Uluru (aka Ayers Rock) and Kata Tjuta. Kata Tjuta is a stonehenge made up of 36 domed stones of varying sizes and heights.
