According to Spurs reporter Paul Garcia, sources revealed that the Spurs have laid off Jaylen Morris (layout map) and Denzel Mahoney. The Spurs currently have 18 players on their big roster.
The Spurs signed Morris to a training camp contract on Oct. 9. Morris played in the NBA for two seasons from 17 to 19, playing for the Hawks and Bucks, playing in 10 regular season games, averaging 12.7 minutes per game, 3.8 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists.
The Spurs signed Mahini to an Exhibit 10 contract on Oct. 7. In this summer's Las Vegas Summer League, Mahoney played in three games for the Hornets, averaging 10.7 minutes per game, with 2 points, 2.7 rebounds and 0.7 assists, shooting 33.3% from three-point range.
