In 1973, at the age of 5, he was separated from his father in the Xi'an district of Shaanxi Province. While wandering, he was adopted by well-meaning adoptive parents. The adoptive mother was like a biological mother, pampering him to grow up. He remembered his adoptive mother's nurturing grace and served filial piety around him, but he always hid a secret in his heart, that is, to find his own biological parents. "You've done your filial piety. Go to your biological parents, son! After the death of his adoptive mother, Qi Shuquan embarked on a long road to find his relatives.
On the evening of October 24, in the CCTV "Waiting for Me" column, Qi Shuquan finally met his younger brother and sister who were thinking of Chao Si twilight, and the family hugged together. Qi Shuquan's dream of finding relatives is inseparable from the efforts of Xiao Zhenyu's family search studio of the Nanyang Micro Police Bureau.
A bag that kept him and his father scattered in the streets
Qi Shuquan is 53 years old and lives in Luyi County, Henan Province. In his memory, he did not know where his hometown was, but only remembered that there was a father and mother, and there were younger brothers and sisters. "My father and mother were both farmers, and although the family conditions were not rich, they took good care of their three children." Qi Shuquan remembers it clearly.
The weather is unpredictable. One day in September 1973, Qi Shuquan's fate took a major turn and completely changed his life. At that time, 5-year-old Qi Shuquan followed his family on a train to relatives. At the Xi'an Railway Station, they temporarily live near the suburbs because they want to transfer.
"The next day, my father took me to downtown Xi'an to sell some corn brought from my hometown." Outside a teahouse, his father handed Qi Shuquan a cloth bag that he often used on weekdays and told him: "Be sure to keep it." Half an hour later, my father came back from selling corn, only to find that the cloth bag was missing.
"A cloth bag can't be seen well, you go, I don't want you." The cloth bag was lost, and the father was very angry and yelled at Qi Shuquan. Then, the father turned around and left, and Qi Shuquan, who was only 5 years old, was very scared and followed behind his father. However, the others walked slowly, and at an intersection, they never followed their father again, so they were separated from their father.
Qi Shuquan searched alone in Downtown Xi'an for a long time, and also tried to take the train back to the outskirts of Xi'an, but he did not find his family. In this way, Qi Shuquan became a street child in Xi'an.
Adopted by a well-meaning couple and happily grown up
In 1974, Qi Shuquan had a home again. Wandering alone in Xi'an for half a year, Qi Shuquan took a train to Luyi, Henan, met relatives of his adoptive parents at the railway station, and after calling the police, he took Qi Shuquan home.
Qi Shuquan still remembers the day he came to his adoptive parents' house, his adoptive mother and three sisters were particularly fond of him, and his adoptive mother changed him into a new dress and let him eat white-faced steamed buns. At that moment, Qi Shu felt particularly warm in his heart, and finally had a home again.
After the death of her adoptive father, the kind adoptive mother raised Qi Shuquan alone. Qi Shuquan was happy at his adoptive parents' house, but he also often missed his biological parents. He will miss his mother, who sewed clothes for his three children overnight, and his younger siblings who love each other. At the same time, he is full of resentment towards his biological father, thinking that his father does not want himself because of a cloth bag, which is really too cruel!
At the age of 22, Qi Shuquan got married. On the day of the wedding, when the guests were gone, Qi Shuquan seemed to be depressed and seemed to have something on his mind, and his wife asked him. He told his wife that in fact, he missed his biological parents in his heart, and at such an important moment of marriage, he hoped that his biological parents could see him get married, how happy he should be.
Since then, Qi Shuquan began to have the idea of finding a home, but all this could not be told to his adoptive mother, because his adoptive mother was too good for him, and he did not want to make his adoptive mother sad. After marriage, Qi Shuquan went to Qingdao, Shandong, Zhengzhou, Henan and other places to work, and he posted search notices in many places, hoping to find his family, but there has been no news.
Sending away his adoptive mother He embarked on a quest to find his relatives
In 1995, the adoptive mother was paralyzed in bed due to illness, and Qi Shuquan and his wife took good care of the adoptive mother. Usually, he and his wife take turns to go to the street to fry fritters to earn money, improve the life of their adoptive mother, and also take time to accompany her to do rehabilitation treatment.
Qi Shuquan was very grateful to his adoptive mother and never revealed the idea of finding a home in front of his adoptive mother. For the sake of his adoptive mother, he never mentioned the matter of finding a home, and he kept it in his heart.
Although there was no way to go out and look for it, Qi Shuquan still couldn't restrain himself from thinking about it. He often dreamed of his mother and younger siblings, and he also had some new speculations about his father: Would my father just say angry words and not really want me? Wouldn't he be sad to lose me?
Until 2009, the adoptive mother said to Shuquan before her death: "You have fulfilled your filial piety, I am worried that you will lack the love of your relatives in the future, you go to find your biological parents." After his adoptive mother died, he once again took the step of finding a home. He and his wife went to Xi'an twice and inquired around where they were separated from their father, but there was no clue at all.
Qi Shuquan knew that for so many years, every time he dreamed, he wanted to go home, he had seen his brother in his dream, but how to shout, his brother also called out.
"One day, my father was working in the field, and our three brothers and sisters were playing outside, and suddenly it started to rain heavily, and my father ran over with his bare arms and carried us into the house."
"One night, I was sleeping soundly and woke up to find my mother making clothes under a kerosene lamp, and my mother said she was making me new clothes. After dawn, my mother did indeed make me a new dress, which was yellow with red dots, very beautiful, and I immediately put it on. "Qi Shu's family lives in the countryside, he is the eldest, his younger brother is two years younger than himself, and his younger sister is four years younger than himself. Although over the past many years, his attachment to his relatives has always been continuous.
Police help find relatives Relatives see each other again after 48 years
In 2021, Qi Shuquan's dream of finding relatives finally had a turnaround. On January 11, Xiao Zhenyu Studio of Nanyang Micro Police Bureau received a request from CCTV's "Waiting for Me" column to help Qi Shuquan find his family.
The Studio of Xiao Zhenyu of nanyang micro-police station searched nationwide through the names of parents provided by Qi Shuquan, and although a lot of work was done, no matching information was found. According to the clues provided by Qi Shuquan that there are mountains near his hometown, the pocket is called two clips, the chicken is called the big grass chicken and the small grass chicken, and combined with Qi Shuquan's recollection of taking the train to Xi'an, the return journey and passing through Henan Shangqiu and other information, the studio staff narrowed the scope of his hometown to Shandong and Anhui, which are adjacent to Henan. After a lot of information comparison, the studio staff and the "Waiting for Me" search team finally found a highly suspected person, Gao Xiaoyou, in Longshan Town, Woyang County, Anhui Province, who had a sister named Gao Qin, whose age was very close to qi Shuquan's description. Therefore, after on-site verification, Gao Xiaoyou was Qi Shuquan's younger brother.
On October 24, at the scene of CCTV's "Waiting for Me" program, Qi Shuquan walked to the door of hope, and walked out of his brother and sister who he had been thinking about day and night. It turned out that Qi Shuquan's family was in Fuyang, Anhui, and his original surname was Gao. When his father turned around, Qi Shuquan and his family were separated for 48 years, which was the guilt of his father's life. In 1991, his mother died of illness at the age of 50, and in 2005, his father died at the age of 66 with regret.
After the three brothers and sisters met, Qi Shuquan's younger brother told his brother the truth, and after his father lost his brother, his mother cried and fainted. The family searched the streets and alleys of Xi'an for half a month without a word, the mother tearfully took Qi Shuquan's younger siblings back to his hometown in Anhui, while Qi Shuquan's father stayed in Xi'an to continue to search for him.
At the scene of the program, Qi Shuquan's younger brothers and sisters brought old photos, and the old house and the path on the photos were all remembered by Qi Shuquan. The younger brother said that in his later years, the father often stood on the path, hoping that his lost son would one day walk back along the path. At this time, Qi Shuquan completely let go of his resentment towards his father for nearly 50 years. (All-media reporter Li Jinxi)
