After the death of King Li of Zhou, Duke Mu and the princes supported the crown prince to succeed to the throne, namely King Xuan of Zhou. After Fang Shufa Chu's great victory, Zhao Mugong was ordered to lead an army to conquer Huaiyi, leading troops from the Jianghan region, advancing eastward, commanding Jianghuai, killing many enemies, and breaking the Huaiyi army.
Zhao Hu and Fang Uncle were both the mainstays of King Xuan's Zhongxing, and the two were often used by later generations as representatives of famous generals of heavy ministers, collectively known as "Fang Zhao".
About Yin Jifu:
Yin Jifu, Xi clan, name Jia, character Jifu, was sealed in Yin Land to establish the State of Yin during the reign of King Xuan of Zhou, so it was called Yin Jifu.
Yin Jifu was a imperial master during the reign of King Xuan of Zhou, a scholar of both culture and martial arts, assisting King Xuan of Zhou in the Zhou Dynasty. At that time, the northern 猃狁 (xiǎn yǔn) invaded the Zhou Dynasty and attacked the northern bank of Jingshui, and the situation was quite grim. Yin Jifu was ordered by King Xuan of Zhou to attack the Qiqi, won the victory, and counterattacked Taiyuan and garrisoned in the area around Pingyao. Yin Jifu was also ordered to collect tribute from the Southern Huaiyi and other ethnic groups in Chengzhou. There is a famous bronze artifact "Xijia Pan", which records that Yin Jifu was rewarded for his merits in conquering the lynx and paid tribute to Huaiyi.
In his later years, Yin Jifu served King Zhou You and repeatedly spoke out and advised him. However, King Zhou You not only did not give advice and reform, but appointed traitors and acted perversely. Angry and desperate, Yin Jifu was forced to resign and return to his hometown, and died of depression at the age of 78.
Yin Jifu had two sons, who were half-siblings. The eldest son was named Xuan, the character Birch, simple in nature, filial piety, but because of his stepmother's repeated rumors, he was expelled from Feng Yi (yì), and Birch lived in Feng Yi after Feng Yi took the "Ji" in the name of his father Jifu, and his descendants formed the Feng Yiji clan. The eldest son of Yan Mingqiu, the character Bofeng, took "Yin" as his clan. Yin Bofeng later followed King Ping of Zhou to the east to obtain a fief, called "Yin Yi", which belonged to the Zhou Dynasty's Qinei state, and after the fall of the Yin state, the people of the country took "Yin" as their surname.
Yin Jifu is the ancestor of the common surname Yin and Ji, and he is also the first compiler of the "Book of Poetry" passed down to later generations, so he is also respected as the ancestor of Chinese poetry.
