Friends who often contact ornamental fish may know that in addition to goldfish and koi, most of the ornamental fish on the market are imported from abroad, most of them have bright colors and cheap prices, but many of them have higher requirements for water temperature, and they need heating rods to be able to feed in winter.

According to the "Zoology of China" (Carpidae, the middle volume), there are 14 genera and 28 species of fish in China (Yudan) subfamily, and the subfamily is mostly small fish, widely distributed in Southeast Asia. This article focuses on the species that are more common and suitable for ornamental fish.
