In mid-June 2022, several provinces in Pakistan were hit by rounds of torrential rains, causing severe flooding, the largest flood disaster in Pakistan in 30 years. According to the daily situation report released by Pakistan's National Disaster Management Agency, from June 14 to August 29 at 14 o'clock, various disasters caused by heavy precipitation have caused 1,061 deaths and 1,575 injuries. While floodwaters peaked in August and September, it will still be months before the floodwaters recede. The following true-color images taken by the SkySat satellite (true color image, i.e. the color of the scene in the image matches the color of the scene seen by the human eye in reality) show the changes before and after the flooding at Sehwan Sharif Airport in Pakistan's Sindh province, with Lake Manchar below the landing runway.

The first photograph, taken on October 29, 2020, shows the airport surrounded by pale farmland. On September 24, 2022, it was completely flooded. A month later, on October 26, highlands such as access and runways were just beginning to emerge from flooding.
