Not far from the city center, on the waterfront, there is a wall that looks like a dancing dragon, guiding visitors straight to the top of the hill. A well-preserved castle rises on top of the hill. It is impossible to know when the castle was built, but climbing on it, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, the water and sky are endless. Alanya at dusk is even more interesting. Aphrodite is the ruins of an ancient Roman Empire-era city named after the goddess of love and beauty in Greek mythology, east of the ancient Turkish city of Ephis. According to records, the city was the birthplace of an important genre of sculpture in ancient times. From the reliefs that have been excavated, most of them are carved from locally abundant marble. They are exquisitely crafted, beautifully patterned, and well-designed to rival the works of Roman sculpture of their generation. The most striking are the statues of dignitaries or special contributions.
