There's nothing more sobering than starting a new day with daughter Daisy. Despite her busy day and night, the American Idol judge — who starred and pivoted at the 2022 CMA Awards in Nashville, Tennessee — shared the truth of early morning hours with her 2-year-old, who is fathered by fiancé Orlando Bloom. "She's going to preschool everywhere," Katie told E! exclusively! News from November 9. "It makes me happy to take her to preschool. I walked her off and I said, 'Mom is leaving.' I'll be right back. But, of course, Katie's quick stop during class time is not just errands.
"I'm just going to Las Vegas for a quick show," she joked. "Then I came back and she fell asleep. I made her lunch – I cut the crust off, don't worry. The singer also noted that she usually still "wears makeup all over her face and sweats profusely when performing."
However, there was no other way she would rather have it. "And then I did it all the next day," she said. "So, I just love life right now, and it's fantastic."
It's also worth noting that the "sober" singer isn't the only one in her family who knows a thing or two about make-up on her face – as Daisy is already a big fan of her.
"She loves makeup," Katie shared. "I had a makeup bag and she always pointed at it and was like, 'Take it off, take it off.' "If I leave her with that for two minutes, it's like a full face." As Katie said, although her fiancé is currently filming in Budapest, she is taking their baby girl with her
