Disney, the happiest place on earth.
But there has always been a group of people who like to come here to scatter the ashes.
They scattered the ashes of deceased relatives and friends everywhere, in garden grass, in amusement rides, in castles...
Thanks to them, Disney staff have to clean up the ashes once a month, and even have a special operation codename "HEPA":
When he saw someone scattering his ashes, he immediately asked him to go out.
But even so, it is impossible to prevent it at all.
No, there is an English grandmother who also has this crooked mind.
Last month, Joyce Jackson, from North Wales, flew to the United States with the ashes of his wife, Gordon Jackson.
She was going to Disneyland Orlando, Florida, where she buried her wife's ashes and their wedding ring.
Because Disney was the favorite of his wife Gordon.
And because Orlando was where they honeymooned that year.
After almost 10 hours of flight.
As a result, the person flew to Orlando, but the luggage was missing.
Grandma Joyce is stupid -
The urn and ring can be packed in the suitcase!
I never expected that I could lose my wife after flying to the United States, can there be anything more outrageous than this?
She recalls:
"I was departing from Manchester Airport and I was told it was best to use a self-service bag drop service, and I did."
"After I put on the luggage tag as required, I found that the tag was glued together at both ends and was very weak, so it must have fallen off!"
"When I arrived at Orlando airport, I didn't wait for my suitcase to pick up my luggage, I searched everywhere, and I still didn't know where to go..."
After some tossing and asking, sure enough, her luggage really stayed in place because the tag fell off, and she didn't get on the plane at all.
No way, either return immediately, or go back to Manchester Airport to pick it up.
Grandma Joyce is alone in a foreign country at the moment, wanting to cry without tears.
I thought that this was the last wish to help my wife fulfill, but the most important plan and the whole trip were completely ruined...
When encountering this kind of thing, who is not blocked in their hearts? Who else would be in the mood to travel?
But after Grandma Joyce calmed down, she made a decision - not to return.
She wants to visit Disney alone, and she wants to revisit the memories of going to Disney with her wife Gordon before her death.
In 2014, Joyce and Gordon went to Disney together.
This dream trip, for the first and the last time.
Those days became the happiest memories of her later years.
Closing her eyes, she could still remember Gordon being happy like a child in Disneyland.
Keep looking for people to take pictures, excitedly imitate every "big star" who passes by... Memories are like clockwork, and every detail rotates in front of your eyes.
Whenever she thought about it, she would be happy with Gordon in her dream, and the corners of her mouth would rise.
After that trip, Gordon and Joyce had been planning when to go to Disney again.
"If the body is still tough, we must go to a few more."
"It's better to go all over the world!"
The two laughed as they spoke, as if Disney's fireworks were blooming in their eyes.
However, we can never predict which tomorrow or the unexpected will come first.
Last year, Gordon fell and died unexpectedly due to a sudden cerebral hemorrhage.
They didn't even have time to say goodbye.
Gordon and Joyce were married for 58 years, and their time together was forced to come to an end.
The old man was a guitarist in an orchestra before his death, and they met at a concert.
Even standing on the side of the stage, Gordon was still deeply attracted to Joyce.
(The photo on the far right is Gordon)
Gordon is not handsome or tall, but he loves to laugh, and when he laughs, he shows that ugly little tiger tooth, which will make Joyce laugh too.
And he is talented, plays the piano well, and she has her own exclusive accompaniment who loves to sing.
The most rare thing is that he has a childlike heart, and it is he who she loves.
In the past 58 years of living together, there are always endless words between the two of them.
In the year after Gordon's death, Joyce could not get out of grief.
She has been accustomed to these 58 years, and every day she has her wife by her side, playing the piano and singing, making her happy.
She never imagined that the day of losing him would come so suddenly.
She also couldn't accept that Gordon left no words and hurried away
But she remembers that returning to Disney was their unfulfilled contract.
When she came to Disney again, the loved one was no longer around.
I thought that this oolong trip was bad enough.
Unexpectedly, it was this journey that allowed her to relive her memories with Gordon after a long absence.
The roads they have walked, the landscapes they have seen... And this time not in a dream.
Disney learned of her experience and settled her in a hotel in the park.
Also helped her with some basic change supplies.
Feeling the warmth from a foreign land, Joyce also ignited a trace of expectation in her heart.
She thought that since she had decided to continue playing, she couldn't stay in the hotel and spend time.
She told herself to be strong enough to enjoy the next few days, even if it's just a person.
During her days at Disney, Joyce sightseeing alone, riding the cable car alone, taking photos alone...
She feels the crowds of people during the day and the fireworks at night alone.
She thought she would cry because of loneliness, but on the contrary, she felt a long-lost peace and satisfaction.
In the end, she found herself smiling at every photo.
Originally, she thought that this was her last chance to do this.
Because he is 78 years old, he is too old, and his health is getting worse and worse because of the blow he has suffered this year.
Such a bold trip, such a plan to fulfill my husband's dream, it is impossible to do it all over again.
So, when she learned that the luggage and Gordon's urn were not with her, she despaired.
But as she strolled through the paradise and immersed herself in everyone's joy, despair and sadness gradually dissipated.
Because I already have the most precious memories.
Those bits and pieces of getting along with Gordon, even death cannot take away.
Back in the UK, she got her luggage back at the airport, crying for the first time in days, but this time with relief:
Going around in circles, the urn and wedding ring were still with her.
It's like the old man came to pick himself up.
Perhaps, it is Gordon who has a spirit in the sky and does not want to fly to the other side of the ocean to part with his lover. The happiest place in the world is not Disney, but the lover around.
So, he waited quietly in place, waiting for her to come home.
Perhaps, he hopes that his lover will take his thoughts, follow the road he once had, walk happily, and then say goodbye to sadness.
In the end, he also managed to make her laugh heartily for the last time.
Death is not the end, oblivion is.
