Imako Koizumi, a famous Japanese female singer and actress, was born in Atsugi City, Kanagawa Prefecture. In 1981, 15-year-old Koizumi participated in the large-scale newcomer selection program "Star is Born", and won the championship and stepped into the music scene. On March 21, 1982, he released his first single "My 16 Years Old" and officially debuted. Together with Seiko Matsuda and Akina Nakamori, she was named by the Japanese media as the three most successful super popular female idols of the 80s.
