Due to the support of the Ming royal family, Shaolin Yonghua Hall gradually evolved into the only Ming Dynasty royal hall that can inherit the authentic heirs of Cao Dong, elect the abbot of Shaolin Temple, teach knowledge of Zen martial arts medical arts, and lead Shaolin Zen martial arts medical monks.

In the early Qing Dynasty, Shaolin Yonghua Hall disciples were divided into two parts:

In the first year of the Republic of China (1912 AD), in the spring of dead wood, the warrior monk of the main hall, the abbot of the Shaolin Temple of the ancestral garden, the monk of the Dengfeng County Monks Association, Shi Henglin, and the monk Shi Miaoxing of the Jianjian Temple and the guest monk Shi Zhenxu actively responded to the call of the Dengfeng County Government, resumed the formation of Shaolin monks and soldiers, made every effort to establish the Shaolin Temple Protection Regiment, reported to and was appointed by the Dengfeng County Government to appoint Shi Henglin as the head of the regiment, Shi Miaoxing as the deputy of the regiment, and Shi Zhenxu as the head of the martial arts, leading the monks and soldiers, garrisoning the monastery, teaching martial arts, protecting the monks and monks, suppressing bandits and the people, and praising the officials and citizens.

The more representative martial arts masters include Xu Shiyou, the founding general of the Republic, Qian Jun, the founding lieutenant general, and Dai Li (Dai Chunfeng), a lieutenant general of the Kuomintang.

In the sixteenth year of the Republic of China (1927 AD), the warrior monk Shi Miaoxing of the main hall was killed in the Battle of Huhan, and the warrior monk Shi Zhenxu of the main hall took over as the abbot of the ancestral Shaolin Temple and the head of the warrior monk, and continued to train Zen martial arts medical monks until his death in 1955. After the reform and opening up, the famous warrior monks Shi Hai Lantern (Shaolin legal name Su Minor) and Shi Suxi all came out of his door.

After the reform and opening up, on the one hand, the only martial monk Shi Suxi, who remained in the ancestral Shaolin Temple and became a monk before liberation, and the only monk Shi Dezen, who insisted on not returning to the secular, although they were all plagued by illness for many years, they still left a lot of valuable written materials for the inheritance and development of Shaolin Zen martial arts medicine and cultivated many successor Zen martial arts medical talents; On the other hand, some lay disciples of the Yonghua Hall of the ancestral Shaolin Temple (South Courtyard) raised funds to restore and rebuild the new Shaolin Yonghua Hall in the southwest of Maitreya Peak of Buddha Tou Ling, southeast of Guanyin Ridge, northeast of Jizoling Ridge, and east of Shaomu Mountain at the southern foot of Shaomu Mountain. Moreover, in line with the trend of the times, Shaolin Yonghuatang Friendship Association, Shaolin Martial Arts Inheritance Center, Shaolin Zen Medicine Inheritance Center and other Shaolin Zen Martial Medicine Inheritance Institutions were initiated and recorded in accordance with the law in 2015. The purpose of Shaolin Yonghuatang Friendship Association is to "carry forward Shaolin Zen martial arts culture and inherit the spirit of Shaolin Yonghuatang".
