Huang Jinqi was formerly the deputy political commissar (deputy division and colonel) of the Service Office for Veteran Cadres of the General Political Department, and is now a retired military cadre of the Yongding Road Military Rest Center in Haidian District. Throughout his life, he devoted himself to writing and news reporting, worked tirelessly, climbed step by step, concentrated his heart and emotions on the end of his pen, actively publicized the party's principles and policies, praised reform and opening up, praised heroic models and good people and good deeds, and achieved fruitful results. Over the past 10 years, he has written thousands of articles that have appeared in the press. He has been rated as an outstanding Communist Party member many times, and has been named an advanced individual in military leave propaganda work in Haidian District seven times. In 2010, he was rated as an advanced retired cadre by the Beijing Municipal Military Suspension Office, in 2012, he was named "Haidian Learning Star", and in 2014, he was rated as "Five Good Party Members" by the Haidian District Military Suspension Office Party Committee. He is known as an "amateur writer".

Emotional Writing Step by step

Huang Jinqi, born in May 1943 on the shore of Taihu Lake in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, has loved reading and writing since he was a child, and joined the Communist Youth League in high school. In February 1963, he was conscripted into the army and became a soldier of the 11th Railway Division. At this time, Chairman Mao called for "learning from Comrade Lei Feng." Inspired by Lei Feng's spirit, he studied diligently, trained hard, joined the Communist Party of China with honor in the second year of enlistment, and was named "Five Good Soldiers" for five consecutive years. In 1971, he was named an active member of studying Chairman Mao's works, attended the "Railway Soldier Four Good Company, Five Good Soldiers, and Activists Representatives Meeting for Studying Chairman Mao's Works" and participated in the National Day ceremony. When he was a propaganda committee member of the Communist Youth League branch of the company, he was responsible for compiling posters and blackboard newspapers; in addition to the intense combat readiness, construction, training, and agricultural and sideline production, he insisted on keeping a diary, and often wrote small articles reflecting the fiery life of the company, and submitted articles to the "Railway Soldier" newspaper.

In 1964, Huang Jinqi's company carried out the task of building a forest road in Yong'an County, Fujian Province, mainly to fill in large areas, basically by manual rubber wheel truck. Due to the long transportation distance, the tires and bearings of the vehicle were very worn, and the regiment could not repair the company, and the platoon leaders and soldiers were very anxious. There is a Fujian soldier Huang Rongshui, who worked at the village pumping station before joining the army and knows some machine principles. Seeing this, he went out on the street to buy pliers, files, glue and other tools, learned to repair rubber wheels, and quickly repaired some vehicles, which was praised by the leaders and welcomed by his comrades-in-arms.

After Huang Jinqi discovered this situation, in order to collect and write about this soldier's car repair deeds, he took the initiative to watch this soldier repair the car during the work break, chat with him, understand his situation, and was moved, and immediately wrote a small draft, which was published in the "Railway Soldier" newspaper under the title "Voluntary Car Repair", and distributed the editor, which was his "debut." He was greatly encouraged and excited. Then, his second article, "Orphans Are Not Alone", appeared in the newspapers. It is the story of Chen Zhiqun (orphan), a soldier of this company, who was cared for by the party, government and military organizations before and after joining the army, and grew up healthily in the army. Since then, he has strengthened his confidence to continue writing and formed an indissoluble bond with writing.

After Huang Jinqi was promoted to cadre, he has been doing cadre work. After the establishment of the railway corps was abolished, he engaged in the work of veteran cadres for 16 years, won the reputation of veteran cadres, received many meritorious awards, and was rated as an advanced worker of veteran cadres. But the pen in his hand did not stop, writing wherever he went. The glory period of his writing began in the 80s of the 20th century.

In 1985, he was transferred to the post of director of the Political Department of the Yuquan Road Old Cadres Management Office of the General Political Department, and in his post of political leadership, Huang Jinqi deeply realized that propaganda and reporting is an important part of political work. Therefore, he closely integrated his work with writing, not only took the lead in writing himself, but also organized a propaganda and reporting group, and cadres actively contributed articles to the "Jiefangjun Bao" and "China Elderly Daily".

In order to improve everyone's writing level, he organized members of the reporting team to participate in the correspondence class "Writing and Talent" held by Jiefangjun Bao, and invited the senior editor of China Elderly Daily to give guidance lectures. During this period, Huang Jinqi's writing level continued to improve. His articles on advanced models of veteran cadres, activities of veteran cadres, and work experience of veteran cadres have frequently appeared in the newspapers. In 1999, Jiefangjun Bao held an essay contest to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, "For the Republic", and he collected and wrote the character newsletters of five veteran generals, all of which were published on the front page of Jiefangjun Bao, four of which won the excellent essay award. His book "A Special Battle" also won the third prize of the People's Daily essay "Commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the Victory of the Red Army's Long March".

In 1993, Huang Jinqi was transferred to the General Political Department Veteran Cadres Service Office as deputy political commissar, all of whom were founding generals of the Great Military Region. They all have legendary extraordinary experiences and moving stories that can be sung and cried. In the life of serving these old generals and getting along day and night, Huang Jinqi established a deep relationship with these old generals, and was shocked by their revolutionary spirit.

Here's a story of 10 door-to-door visits that is amazing. Lieutenant General Wang Enmao, former vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, first secretary of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Regional CPC Committee, and first political commissar of the Xinjiang Military Region, was basically blind when he was placed in the service office. Huang Jinqi and the leaders of the service office often visit and greet him at home to solve his worries and problems.

General Wang Enmao and his wife Luo Lan enjoy high prestige among the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. In 1994, marking the 50 th anniversary of the founding of the former 359 Brigade Family School, Luo Lan, wife of Chief Wang Enmao, summoned dozens of old comrades (all of them elderly female compatriots) from the former 359 Brigade Family School in Beijing to hold a forum to commemorate the 50 th anniversary of the founding of the 359 Brigade Family School.

In the midsummer of 1997, when a study and visit group composed of 4 I outstanding middle school students of various ethnic groups in Urumqi went to the mainland to study and visit the "Beijing and Shanghai" in the mainland, Wang Enmao invited the children to his home as guests, and Huang Jinqi and Director Gao Yangling led comrades of the political work group to assist the chief in receiving these young guests from afar and providing convenience. The chief encouraged the children: You should open up a beautiful future for Xinjiang, and you must establish communist ideals, establish a revolutionary outlook on life and values, and strive to be qualified successors across the century. Huang Jinqi was moved by the legendary life of this old general, and he visited the door more than 10 times, and in order not to affect the chief's rest, each conversation did not exceed an hour. Huang Jinqi did not tire of visiting the house again and again, and his persistent spirit impressed the chief and his wife. Through the introduction of veteran generals and veteran Red Army officers of the service office, he also got to know many veteran leaders of the four general departments, the navy and air force, and the Beijing Military Region, thus increasing the clues and expanding the interview surface.

Retreat without resting and the residual heat shines

In 1999, Huang Jinqi retired from the leadership post, but he retired, the pen in his hand did not put down for a day, he was successively hired by "China Elderly Daily" and "Gateball Weekly" as an editor and reporter, in order to meet the needs of work, he studied computers diligently, and with the help and guidance of senior editing teachers, he learned to use computers to collect manuscripts and send e-mails in a short time. Using the platform of "China Elderly Daily", he successively collected and wrote about more than 100 revolutionary old-timers, old literary and art film and television workers, elderly poetry and calligraphy and painting lovers who have achieved success, and examples of old people who have done their best work, such as Lu Zhengcao, Wang Enmao, and Zhang Qianxiu. It has been published in dozens of newspapers and periodicals across the country, such as "Jiefangjun Bao", "China Elderly Daily", "Shanghai Elderly Daily", "People", "Chinese Talents", "China Elderly Age", and "Education for the Elderly", which has produced good social effects on propaganda models, inheritance of revolutionary traditions and fine work styles. For this reason, he was twice rated as an advanced worker and an excellent author by the China Elderly Newspaper. At the same time, he also won the first, second and third prizes of the essay solicitation once, the second and third prizes of the "Jiefangjun Bao" essay solicitation once, and the excellent work award five times.

He said with deep feeling: "I have worked in the newspaper office for six or seven years, and I have benefited a lot, coming from the barracks to a vast and open society, which has suddenly broadened my horizons, increased my knowledge, and further improved my writing level. ”

Huang Jinqi is enthusiastic about public welfare undertakings, only talking about dedication, regardless of remuneration. In 1997, he was admitted as a member of the Beijing New Fourth Army Research Association, and served as the second director of the association's office and a member of the propaganda committee, responsible for external propaganda work. During this period, he was also hired as a special correspondent for the magazine "Iron Army" sponsored by the China New Fourth Army Research Association (Nanjing). Although these tasks are all compulsory, Huang Jinqi regards them as his own responsibility, works tirelessly, and is conscientious and responsible. The New Fourth Army Research Association had many activities, and every time he actively participated in it and wrote a report. He often followed the veterans' propaganda troupe, choir, and art troupe of the New Fourth Army Research Association to major academies, troops, neighborhoods, and communities in Beijing, preaching revolutionary traditions, singing revolutionary songs, and giving away red books and periodicals.

Over the past 10 years and more, he has actively participated in activities to commemorate the centenary of the birth of more than 30 generals, including Liu Shaoqi, Chen Yi, and Su Yu, and participated in activities commemorating the anniversary of victory such as "The New Fourth Army Advancing East," "Breakthrough in the Central Plains," "Decisive Battle of Yellow Bridge," and "Huaihai Campaign," as well as academic discussion activities such as carrying forward the "spirit of the iron army." He participated in the collection, editing, and publication of the "Tieliu Briefing", and reported the legendary lives of more than 20 New Fourth Army generals, including Li Xiannian, Zhang Haoxiu, Wan Haifeng, Zhou Keyu, and Xie Fei, in the publications of the New Fourth Army Research Association in various places, such as "Iron Army", "Great River North and South", "Iron Army Vertical and Cross", "Style of the Century", and "War Years"; He also wrote and published the health preservation methods of more than 20 celebrities, including Du Yide, Xie Zhenhua, Wang Dinglie, Yang Silu, and Cao Guanghua, which left valuable historical materials for our party and our army, and their significance and contributions are self-evident. For this reason, Huang Jinqi doesn't know how much effort he has spent.

In 2007, after Huang Jinqi was handed over to the Yongding Road Military Rest Center in Haidian District, he actively participated in the publicity of military leave. Over the past seven years and more, he has consciously participated in various activities organized by the party, assisted in summarizing the work of the military rest center, and wrote typical materials. He collected and wrote about the advanced deeds of more than 10 workers, including Sun Guanghui, Ren Shirong, He Dechao, Xiao Keming, Cao Lijuan, and Li Xiaofan. He has published 85 articles in newspapers and magazines such as "Friends of Military Retirement", "Tongxin Journal", "Haidian News", and "China Elderly". His book "Hometown Everywhere Changes New Look" won the first prize of the "Essay Solicitation for the 30th Anniversary of Reform and Opening Up" of the Haidian District Military Suspension Office; "My Road to Cultural Pension" won the first prize of the "Sunset Zhengred" essay competition of the Haidian District Military Suspension Office; "Love for the Military Rest Homeland, Realizing the Dream of the Sunset Rainbow" won the second prize of the "Chinese Dream, Military Rest" essay competition of the Beijing Municipal Military Rest Office; The photographic work "Ancient Civilization, Adding Color to the Olympic Games" won the third prize of the "Ode to the Motherland - Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of New China" in the national call for papers, and was commended by the Haidian District and Beijing Municipal Military Suspension Office for many times.

In the face of various honors, Huang Jinqi always said; "I am a member of the Communist Party, and these things should be done; without the Communist Party, there would be no me today, and there would be no happy old age where I live and work in peace and contentment." He has a childlike heart, and he is grateful and does not forget to act.

The sunset is red and the sunset is shining

The most beautiful is sunset red, and Huang Jinqi is the symbol of "the most beautiful sunset red". It is said that he should enjoy pure happiness and enjoy the happiness of family, but the pen in his hand can never stop. In 2014, he published 57 interviews, newsletters, messages, features, essays, and photographs. Even professional journalists are difficult to achieve. Last year, the General Political Department issued a document, and with the approval of the Central Military Commission, the General Political Department decided to continue the third batch of "Biography of Senior Generals of the Chinese People's Liberation Army." Huang Jinqi undertook the task of writing He Huiyan, former deputy commander of the railway army.

People in their 70s also went to the chief's hometown of Dawu and Hong'an to collect information. He went to a small village in the ravine to see the former residence of the chief and listened to the stories told by village officials and elderly people. This is an old revolutionary area, a famous "General County" in the country, and a majestic Cemetery for Revolutionary Martyrs of the Oyu Border Region has been built on Jianggang Mountain. Ignoring the fatigue of rushing, Huang Jinqi climbed Jianggang Mountain to commemorate the revolutionary martyrs and visit the Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery. After returning to Beijing, it was difficult to calm down, so he wrote an article entitled "Sacrifice to Heroic Martyrs on Jianggang Mountain -- Tour of the Cemetery of Revolutionary Martyrs in the Oyu Border Region," which was published in Tongxin Magazine, showing the tragic and magnificent deeds of revolutionary martyrs and expressing his admiration for revolutionary martyrs.

Huang Jinqi's brilliant achievements in writing are due to his harmonious and happy family. Especially his wife Zhao Danying, who sprinkled all her love for him on his pen. In order to let her husband concentrate on writing, he undertook almost all the housework, creating a neat and quiet writing environment for him. His son Huang Hai sent laser printers and often solved problems in computer editing for him. His daughter and son-in-law sent imported cameras and LCD screens to scan pictures and documents for him. The support of the whole family has created a good condition for him to prepare for writing.

A penny of tillage, a penny of harvest. In 2013, Huang Jinqi selected 100 volumes of interviews, essays, essays, etc. published over the past ten years, and published a 300,000-word anthology of "Looking Up at the Starry Sky", which is the crystallization of his hard work over the past ten years and a generous gift he presents to the party. Books come true, and the value of life is realized. He was intoxicated by happiness, holding a bookish anthology in his hand, excited and emotional, feeling that "the sunset is red, the sunset is bright." He said that life does not stop, and the struggle is endless. Live to be old, learn from old age, write until the sunset is red, strive to create more and better spiritual food, and make more contributions to the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
