Chen Guangman, who will be 60 years old next year, is the first generation of "fishing kings" of Miyun Reservoir. About 20 years ago, Chen Guangman caught a yellow carp weighing 56 kilograms, and the fish became the "fish king" and the person became the "fishing king".
"In fact, people are the same as fish, and it is fate when they meet." That afternoon, Chen Guangman parked his boat in an inlet and sat at the bow to sort out the nets. When there was no strong wind, he used to set the time to get off the net at three o'clock in the morning, and the next day at seven o'clock to start the net.
According to relevant regulations, fishermen in Miyun Reservoir cannot exceed 60 years old. Chen Guangman found himself a post-retirement job a few years ago — like some idle old people in the village, planting chestnuts in patches. He said that this year's chestnut price is good, and the income will be considerable compared to last year. But Chen Guangman always felt that it was interesting to plant trees without fishing.
According to official data, the 300,000 mu of chestnut in Miyun District is mainly planted in more than ten towns on the east, west and north shores of the reservoir around the lake, and the planting area and output account for nearly 50% of the city.
Chen Guangman knows that trees can conserve water sources, purify surface runoff, and planting chestnuts can also indirectly retain water.

After 30 years of fishing, Hao Jiayin is a well-known fishing master, sometimes staying overnight on the water, he can pull back the fish from the full reservoir, some of which is handed over to Wan Mingzhi to make for guests to taste.

Li Shuzhi, director of the Buckwheat Yu Folk Tourism Cooperative, introduced that there are 49 folk households in Buckwheat Yu Village. About ten years ago, the town government advocated the development of folk tourism in each village, "one village, one product", and each village focused on a special cuisine. Another reason for the choice of "buckwheat banquet" is that fish in the reservoir are not available in all seasons. In 2017, Wan Mingzhi spent 3,000 yuan to ask a college art student to paint nine colorful fish on his wall, and when he was not fishing, he looked at the paintings.
