I feel that the bazaar of this small city located in the Fergana Basin is richer than the bazaar of Tashkent and Samarkand.
Fully reflects the strong agricultural culture of the Fergana Basin, the total area of Uzbekistan is 440,000 square kilometers, and the Fergana Basin is only 20,000 square kilometers, but their population accounts for one-third of the country!
This agriculturally rich basin feeds more than half of the country's population. Some of the types of ingredients in the country can be seen in the picture below, and I was particularly surprised that there are such dried chili peppers, which are very characteristic of the northeast.
There is also a huge kimchi section in the market, with about a dozen kimchi stalls where you can see all kinds of mainstream kimchi.
You will find that there are not only Korean aunts selling kimchi here, but also Ukrainian and even Russian people selling kimchi. Korean kimchi has been integrated into Uzbek culture.
The smell of kimchi here is very strong, you can smell it from a distance, and when you look closer, it is colorful and very attractive.
