When Rishi Sunak and his billionaire wife, Akshata Murthy, arrived in Downing Street, the 42-year-old British first lady was first seen and photographed instructing the movers to move furniture into their new home.
As we all know, Akshata is the daughter of a rich Indian man, richer than the king, she wears slippers, gray leggings, light gray jumper, and a black fur coat, which is really expensive, and her chopstick legs steal the camera. It was the first time she had been photographed walking into 10 Downing Street since her husband became prime minister this week, just six months after the family moved from Downing Street to their £6.6 million Kensington townhouse.
When British First Lady Aqshata moved to Downing Street, we could see her talking to the workers at the moving company who were preparing to move what looked like an upright piano from the truck to the house. In addition, the mover moved a pillow-top mattress and what looked like a barbecue tool into 10 Downing Street.
Sunak and Akshata chose to return to their apartment at 10 Downing Street, where he lived when he was Chancellor of the Exchequer. He chose to move here instead of the more spacious Downing Street 11 apartment.
There has been speculation about whether the family will return to their former lives and whether they will travel between Downing Street and his home in west London.
In April, Sunak and Akshata, along with their two daughters, moved closer to a private school where their children's annual tuition fees can be as high as £22,000. But it's clear that now that Sunak has become prime minister, the family will move back to their apartment at 10 Downing Street.
Since 1735, Downing Street has been the residence of British government leaders. Tony Blair took office in 1997, being the first to choose Apartment 11, and his successors Gordon Brown, David Cameron, Theresa May and Boris Johnson also chose to follow suit.
After almost 300 years of residence by prime ministers, the building underwent several renovations, and at the end of World War II, the building was found to have serious structural problems, with tilted walls and twisted door frames.
In the end, in Harold Macmillan, the restoration of 10 Downing Street cost about £1 million and took three years to complete. Since then, structural problems seem to have largely been brought under control, but some of the building's most famous reception rooms have been renovated by different leaders.
The new British Prime Minister Sunak has chosen to live in 10 Downing Street, meaning they will not be living in an apartment on the 11th floor. Boris Johnson and his wife Kelly spent around £200,000 renovating the apartment with thousands of pounds of gold wallpaper, but it's a shame Sunak and Akshata won't move in.
Sunak, however, still keeps London's townhouse, and if he wants to leave Downing Street, he will be able to spend weekends at country houses with his family, or weekends at their London and North Yorkshire residences.
In the absence of her husband, Akshata was in charge of the moving work alone, she was really very virtuous, and all the movers were under her command and methodically moved the furniture into the house. In the future, she will definitely be the most beautiful scenery here, and I hope she and her husband can stay here longer.
