In April, Angelina Jolie, alias Jolie Doe, filed a sensational lawsuit with the court. She accused the F.B.I. of refusing to provide records of the 2016 investigation into her ex-husband's private jet.
In 2016, Brad Pitt was accused of physically assaulting Angelina Jolie and their children on a private jet from France to Los Angeles. Subsequently, the marriage of the former Smiths also ended.
According to legal documents obtained by Radar Online, Jolie's lawyer claims that Brad Pitt pinched one child, hit another in the face, and grabbed Julie's head and shook it vigorously. Julie said that Pete splashed her with beer and red wine on the children. After the plane landed, law enforcement came up to investigate.
The Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services closed the case with the FBI on accusations of not committing a crime. So Angelina Jolie tried to find out why the case ended with innocence through the FBI's investigative records. She had submitted a free information to obtain a record of the case, saying the F.B.I. "unlawfully withheld the requested information." In court, Julie said the FBI closed the case without notifying her and issued a public statement.
The FBI said it was currently reviewing the situation and would not investigate further into the plane incident. Julie admitted to obtaining some of the documents, but said the FBI withheld about 100 pages of documents and that the parts she received were heavily tampered with. In court, Julie said that Pitt used the FBI's closure as an excuse for his mistakes, and that the FBI did not clarify Pitt's violations in some of the documents she received.
In the latest trial documents, the FBI granted Angelina Jolie's request for a Freedom of Information Act of 2020 to determine whether to release more case records. The FBI plans to make two announcements, the first in December 2022, which will likely include the outcome of the case reprocessing, and the relevant policies and procedures in January next year.
Brad Pitt's lawyer said that "Brad Pitt has been attacked by various statements over the past six years, Angelina Jolie has been trying to prove her statements through the responses of various relevant departments, Brad Pi will not admit what he has not done, and will respond as always."
