Zac Efron walked out of the upcoming wrestling movie The Iron Claw with long hair and a strong body looking almost unrecognizable. Check out his new look.
You can always bet on Zac Efron to get into the best role.
Case in point: his latest body makeover for Iron Claw. On the set of the October 24 biopic, the high school musical alumnus looked ready to rumble as famous wrestler Kevin von Erich. Shaking his long brown hair and wrapped in a blue towel around his waist, Zach showed off his rock-solid muscles as he stepped out of the trailer — a physique strengthened like a wrestling champion.
Also starring Jeremy Allen White, Lily James and Harris Dickinson, Iron Claw tells the true story of the von Erich family, whose wrestlers became popular between three generations.
Zach recently went public about his journey to "inflate" the character, sharing that he took a completely different approach than when preparing for Baywatch in 2017. "That experience was exhausting," he told Men's Health. "It's hard for me to reposition." So, what's different about him this time? On the one hand, he stopped overtraining.
"That Baywatch look, I don't know if that's really achievable," he said. "There's so little water in the skin. Like, it's fake; It looks CGI. And this requires Lasix, a potent diuretic, to achieve this. So I don't need to do that. I prefer to have an extra, you know, 2 to 3 percent body fat. In addition to foaming, stretching, self-massage and yoga, Zach has also developed an interest in ice baths — which he calls "my favorite part of the day."
"It used to be the most painful time, when you ended up just committing and jumping in there," he shared. "Since then, you have conquered something deep within you; You don't want to catch a cold. This is the simplest philosophy: anything you don't want to do, make it a habit. ”
