May, is a special month, high temperature and rain, not only a variety of warm fruits and vegetables, vegetables, vegetables key growth period, but also a high incidence of various insect pests, red spiders, aphids, aphids, thrips, green blind bugs... Pests and diseases are severely harming crop growth. We must do a good job in the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests in advance to avoid the outbreak of diseases and insect pests!

The plant protection plan in this article was reviewed by Teacher Zeng Xiangquan
Red Spider
In general, red spiders reach their peak in mid-May and can harm a variety of crops, such as citrus, tomatoes, gourds, passion fruit, etc.
Red spiders reproduce very quickly, mainly for the leaves, stems, flowers, roots, etc. of the plant, absorbing the sap of the stems and leaves of the plant, reducing the moisture of the affected parts, showing green and white, and the leaf surface presents dense and pale small spots, curly and yellow. Crops that have been harmed by red spiders, when severe, the leaves are yellowed, dwarfed, or form secondary fruits, and finally the whole plant dies.
The point is that it is still particularly difficult to completely eliminate, and seeing that the outbreak period is coming, the red spider will become more and more difficult to fight! What potion can destroy the abominable red spider in one fell swoop? After gathering more than a dozen manufacturers, Fengchuang Research Institute and demonstration households around the world, the harvest expert group has finally found a strong medicine in more than 70 groups of pharmaceutical formulas after continuous improvement and experimentation for 3 years.
After a large number of experiments have proved that the drugs with good effect and long duration of use are:
Scheme 1: 43% biphenylhydrazide 3000 times + 15% acetazole 3000 times;
Scheme 2: 45% hydrazine ethyl acetazole 2000-2500 times;
Scheme 3: 43% biphenylhydrazine ester 3000 times + 22.4% spironium ethyl ester 3000 times.

aphids

Aphids are the most common pests and one of the most destructive pests in the world, and aphids are very fertile, mainly because female aphids are born to reproduce, and can reproduce 10 to 30 generations a year. Aphids twist the leaves into a spiral, causing defoliation, and new shoots cannot grow, affecting bud formation and weakening the tree.
It is recommended to use a good and efficient agent with good systemic properties and a variety of pesticides to rotate and alternate to delay the production of aphid resistance, such as imidacloprid, thiamethoxazine and so on.
For aphids and thrips, Harvest Teacher recommends the following options:
Scheme 1: 5% avermectin 1500-2000 times + 15% cyanocyanophioxinoline 1000-1500 times
Scheme 2: 5% avermectin 1500-2000 times + 15% cyanocyanocyanopialine 1000-1500 times + 22.4% spironoid ethyl ester 3000 times (duration up to 50 days)
Scheme 3: 5% avermectin emulsion 1500 times + 26% chlorofluoropyridine amidine water dispersible granules 750 times.
It can kill thrips and has a good effect on aphids.

Thrips

May is the peak of thrips, open crops, greenhouse crops are harmful, mainly flowers in full bloom, will lead to the victim flowers or buds fall off in advance, resulting in deformed fruits, peel fruits, affecting fruit set rate. After the young fruit of the crop is endangered by thrips, it is definitely a baby fruit to grow!
Thrips have the habit of lying down at night, which is one of the reasons why thrips are difficult to control. When using conventional contact killers, the insect body is not sprayed during the day. Among them, imidacloprid and other agents can also kill pests such as aphids and psyllids at the same time. Harvest recommended regimen: 5% avermectin 1500 times + 26% chlorofluoropyrimidine 750 times.

Green blind bugs

Temperatures are relatively high in May, and most green blind bugs are starting to hatch, making it a good time to eradicate them. Green blind bugs mainly harm grapes, corn, cotton, soybeans and other crops, and the affected leaves are reddish brown and needle-sized necrotic spots. As the leaves grow, irregular holes appear in the site of the victim and wrinkles occur.
Germination to the new shoot leaf spreading stage, select 15% cyanothialine bromide, 5% high-efficiency cypermethrin, etc., can also be sprayed with its compound products, 7 to 10 days apart and sprayed once, the serious harm of orchards sprayed 3 times, can effectively reduce the number of green blind bugs.

Insects

In April and May, the insects begin to move, feeding on and harming the leaves, flowers, and young branches of crops, which are very harmful, including citrus, grapes, peaches, peppers and other crops.
Harvest Teacher Recommended Program:
For prevention, please use: 22.4% spirant ethyl ester 3000 times + silicone 3000 times;
For treatment, use: 22.4% ethyl spironium ester 3000 times + silicone 3000 times + 51.5% chlorine 1000 times chlorine.

Vegetable green worms

Vegetable green insects bloom in the south in late spring and early summer (April to June), May to June and August to September in North China, in the north, late May to early June is the peak of spring, and the first generation of larvae appear in early and mid-May.
Vegetable green insects especially love to eat thick leaves of kale, cauliflower, cabbage, radish, etc., when serious, the crop leaves will all be eaten, only the thick leaf veins and petioles remain, resulting in extinction: because of the harm of vegetable green insects, it is particularly easy to cause the occurrence of cabbage soft rot, when the seedling stage is seriously damaged, it will affect the heart, and even the whole plant will die.
It can be controlled with agents such as methylphenidate, carbohydrazide, lice mite urea, and dimethoate. Recommended Harvest Special Effect Formula: 12% Beetle mite nitrile 750 times.

Pear wood lice

Adults and larvae are mostly concentrated in the new shoots and petioles, and mostly feed on the back of the leaves in summer and autumn. The larvae secrete a large amount of mucus on the leaves, which can bind the two adjacent leaves together, and the larvae hide in the middle to harm and induce soot disease. When the larvae occur in large numbers and are severely infested, the whole leaf turns brown, causing early defoliation.
Prevention and control methods:
(1) Scrape the coarse skin in winter, sweep the leaves, and eliminate the source of overwintering insects.
(2) In the first generation of larval occurrence (about 3/4 of the flower), the second generation of egg hatching is in full bloom (around mid-May), the optional agents are: imidacloprid, spironoethyl ester, etc.
Recommended Harvest Control Formula:
For prophylaxis use: 22.4% ethyl spironium ester 3000 times + silicone 3000 times, or 51.5% chlorine chlorine 1500 times + 15% bromothiacidioprine 1500 times;
There are also some diseases and insect pests at this time is also more serious, if you have insect pests there articles are not written, welcome to leave a message to inquire. Of course, the most important thing is that these pests and diseases mentioned in the article, in May, are special to be controlled, and if you miss the time, the pests and diseases will break out and spread... It's really late!
