According to the Daily Star on October 23, one of the most iconic statues of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher has been damaged, for the third time in five months.
Located on St Peter's Hill in Grantham, the statue was only erected on May 15 this year, but it has been a target for anti-Conservative vandals.
A recent attack on the £300,000 sculpture went viral on social media.
Because anonymous vandals screwed out the words "Tories get out of the way" on the base with yellow spray paint ... He also wore a small pink hat on his head.
To make matters worse, however, after images of graffiti went viral, the hat was actually plastered onto photos of the attack.
Lincolnshire Police confirmed they were searching for criminals and the attack had been treated as "criminal damage".
The statue has been in the spotlight since it was built in the former prime minister's hometown.
Just a few hours after it was erected, someone was fined for throwing eggs at it, and two weeks later someone vandalized it.
The target did have CCTV surveillance, but that didn't stop people from expressing their dissatisfaction with the status quo in the UK on the sculpture.
