Ruane won his first title on the tour this week at the Stockholm Open. The 19-year-old continued his stellar run this week with his second victory over top-seeded wildcard player and former French Open runner-up Tsitsipas this season. Ruane saved the only break point and eventually won the match 6-4, 6-4. "The game was very close to perfection. I played a lot of returns and played well after serving," the Dane recalled in an interview on the pitch. The sweet victory graced Rune's breakout season, and two days after his 19th birthday, he celebrated his first ATP title in Munich. Later, he would beat Tsitsipas at Roland Garros to reach the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam for the first time, and now he is in the top 25 for the first time on Monday.
The 22-year-old Aliassim defeated Koda
At the European Open in Antwerp, Aliassim won his second title in two weeks. The No. 2 seed beat Korda 6-3, 6-4 to put up 23 winning goals, compared to the American playing just 10 to avenge the previous season's defeat at Estoril. Aliassim started his career 0-8 in the ATP final, and now he's won three straight finals, all in 2022 and all indoors. The 20-year-old Musetti defeated Berrettini
In this all-Italian final, No. 4 seed Musetti won the Napoli Cup with a 7-6 (5) and 6-2 victory over No. 2 seed Berrettini. After missing four break points before opening tie-break, Musetti took the only mini-break 3-3 to seal a crucial set lead. In the end, the 20-year-old defeated his former Wimbledon runner-up compatriot in the final at Napoli. Musetti lifted his first Tour trophy in Hamburg three months ago against Alcaraz, who became world No. 1, and this year his record is 30-23.
