After visiting the South African Ancestors Memorial, we left Pretoria and drove directly to Johannesburg. We are going to a Chinese restaurant in Johannesburg, "Lotus Garden Restaurant" for dinner.

The tranquility of the idyllic setting was replaced almost overnight by the hustle and bustle. As the number of gold diggers grew, it became a populated settlement. The government of the Republic of South Africa at the time sent personnel to tour the area, looking for a place to establish a municipality. The two men assigned to this mission were a Dutch immigrant named Johann Rissik and a Boer named Christian Johannes Joubert. It is said that the city was founded after their names, Johann and Johannes, plus the suffix burg for "city, town", so that today's Johannesburg (Johannesburg) came into view.
We had dinner at Lotus Chinese Restaurat. I heard that the owner of Lotus Garden Restaurant has been operating in South Africa for many years and hired black security guards for security. There were two black security guards in Tang costumes standing at the entrance of the restaurant, which was a little funny.

After dinner, I walked to a fork in the road not far from the hotel and saw several young blacks drunkenly drinking and dropping wine bottles. I was a little scared to see it, so I quickly dodged it.

Johannesburg is the terror capital with the highest crime rate in the world. Under the dazzling sun of southern Africa, beneath the surface of prosperity, lies evil. South Africa's unemployment rate is as high as 40%, and the vast majority of the unemployed army is unskilled and poorly educated blacks. The deterioration of law and order has made robberies common, forcing the upper middle class or large capital companies representing South Africa to move to the northern suburbs, and urban functions continue to move to the suburbs. In addition, risk-fearing foreign capital has also moved outward, causing restaurants, clubs, nightclubs, etc. in the city to close their doors one after another.

We went up to the top floor, which was an outdoor pool in the middle and surrounded by a circle of platforms. Brother Yao went into the water to swim, and I filmed on the platform. As far as the eye can see, Johannesburg is still beautiful in the sunset.
