An eight-year-old British girl left horrific scars in a fire when she was six months old, but she never complained and instead dedicated herself to helping others through her charity, raising an incredible £202,000 for the hospital where she was treated.

Eight-year-old brave Elizabeth Soffe suffered more than 60 percent of third-degree burns in the fire at the age of six months, and has had 80 surgeries since.

When Elizabeth was seven years old, she ran a marathon despite her scars. The Formula 1 fan has received a British Pride award for his amazing efforts.

The announcement came as a shock when 33-year-old racing hero Daniel and mum Sinead visited the McLaren Technical Centre in Woking, Surrey.

Elizabeth later said: "I didn't say a word, I was shocked. "It feels like I'm dreaming. It was the best day of my life. ”

Daniel added: "It's really impressive to have that drive and determination at that age. ”

In May 2014, in Doha, Qatar, Elizabeth and her family's apartment changed their lives in an instant when a faulty air conditioner caused her crib to catch fire.

No hospital in Qatar could treat severe burns like Elizabeth, so she was placed in a coma. Five days later, she was flown to the UK and admitted to Birmingham Children's Hospital, where she spent six months in intensive care.

For Elizabeth's surgery, her family moved permanently to Birmingham. In addition to the burns, she lost most of her fingers, part of her nose and one ear. She goes to the hospital one day a week on average. But her mother said, "She never complains." ”

Last summer, Elizabeth decided to raise money for Birmingham Children's Hospital's fractional CO2 laser machine. The device softens tissues, improves movement and reduces tightness around severe scars.

She ran a marathon for 26 days, ran a mile a day in a local park, and ran 73 laps in the garden during two weeks of Covid quarantine.

Elizabeth raised a total of £215,000, breaking the original target of £1,000.

Brave people are always worthy of respect!
