In an exclusive interview with a reporter from the Morning News, Chen Haoyu talked about the origin of receiving the role of Zhong Ranran, the gains during filming, and the feeling of "seamlessly switching" in the roles of film and television actors and musical theater actors.

In the film, Zhong Ranran, played by Chen Haoyu, looks thin and needs to be taken care of, and is younger than most people, but as the plot develops, the audience finds that her small body contains huge energy.
She is the main caregiver of the patients in the team, unwilling to abandon anyone, and even when others start to complain that the injured patients in the team have become a drag, she is kind enough to stand in the patient's shoes and fight for their opportunities.
She is also a key role in accelerating Cheng Lang's growth, and a casual conversation actually inspired Cheng Lang a lot.
The fate with this warm and strong character originated from Chen Haoyu's previous theatrical cooperation with Rao Xiaozhi. As early as in the casting, director Rao Xiaozhi asked her if the role of a little girl in the group portrait of 125 compatriots in "The Way Home" was interested in trying, and the script could not write everyone very carefully, so actors were needed to create rehearsals.
Chen Haoyu had never tried this way, so he was very excited and curious, so he agreed.
Before the film started, Chen Haoyu and other partners were rehearsing every day, and these rehearsal clips were actually not in the movie in the end, but they were all very important.
"Because I think the role of these supporting characters in the group portrait is to help the protagonist complete their task, if we go to the scene and say what adjustments we need to make, when we can help the protagonist's certain scenes, if we don't prepare in advance, we can't make some adjustments according to our roles at that moment, to find our own motivation, there is no way to say what we should say immediately, so we really need to create a row."
Chen Haoyu introduced that the content of their rehearsal is related to the movie, such as the previous history of a certain scene in the main film, or what happened after this scene.
"For example, what we were doing in the first 10 minutes of this scene in the movie, what we were doing the day before, what the relationship between our characters was, and then how we people treated them, these are very small character relationships that set the motivation for our characters' behavior. The first time I participated in this kind of creative platoon, it was very important, and in the end you could see that these characters all looked solid, and I think it was inseparable from our preliminary preparation. ”
Zhang Yi's "thinking about others" is admirable
In the film, Zhong Ranran, played by Chen Haoyu, and Cheng Lang, played by Wang Junkai, have a dialogue, which is impressive and one of the key plots to untie Cheng Lang's heart.
In Chen Haoyu's view, this is a particularly troubled moment for Cheng Lang, and Zhong Ranran provides him with a new perspective and new ideas. At that time, Cheng Lang was entangled in not wanting to lie to everyone, he was bored with lying, so he wanted Zong Dawei to tell the truth to everyone.

After watching "Ten Thousand Miles Home", many viewers feel that the environmental scenes and details in the movie are very real, which comes from the careful preparation of the main creator.
In order to present the exotic scenery to the greatest extent and show the real thrill on the road to evacuate, the crew not only spent half a year traveling all over the country to scout, but also built a small exotic city 1:1, and the maximum number of art groups reached nearly 1,000.
In terms of prop details, the crew specially transported palm trees and coconut trees from other places to make the small town scene closer to the exotic style.
Chen Haoyu, as a member of the crew, is also deeply touched. She didn't have a role on her first day in the group, so she went to visit the class, and several leading actors were filming the opening scene of the movie.
"I was shocked when I first walked into the town, and I thought oh my God, I really can't believe that this is actually built. When I walked to the well, the dust and trees, the mottled and dilapidated buildings, the debris on the ground, I thought it was too real. At that second, I didn't have to wear my costume myself, I didn't feel acting, I thought this place was too terrible, it was a country at war, it was hard to breathe. ”
After filming "The Way Home", Chen Haoyu also had a deeper understanding and feelings about the profession of evacuees and diplomats.
Chen Haoyu herself played one of the rescued compatriots, as early as the process of creating the platoon, she felt that with so many people together, the complexity of human nature would make evacuation more difficult. "So many people are going out together, but everyone is complicated and has their own emotions. When we started the platoon, we always thought that we would definitely create a lot of trouble, and there were all kinds of troubles to solve. ”
Therefore, in addition to understanding the hardships of diplomats and the difficulty of evacuating overseas Chinese, she deeply felt that the difficulties faced by diplomats were not only external, but also had to resolve internal contradictions.
"They don't just have to face one or two people, not just diplomats from other countries, they also have to face their own team, so they need to have decision-making power, they need patience, that kind of perseverance, I think that's a very complicated emotion." Before becoming an actress, Chen Haoyu was a singer in a singing competition, and in the past two years, in addition to filming, she also played her advantages and performed musicals.
