Arthur Smith renounced his anonymity and accused Lord Mountbatten, King Charles III's uncle, of being molested twice by Lord Mountbatten at the age of 11 at the Kingcola House in Belfast.

King Charles' uncle, Lord Louis Mountbatten, is accused of molesting the boy in the 1970s at a notorious children's home.

In the 1970s, Mr. Smith lived at Kincola House in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

He claimed to have been molested twice by Lord Mountbatten at the age of 11.

In 1979, the IRA detonated a bomb on his ship in Co Sligo Mullaghmore, killing the Earl and three others.

The Court Subpoena has been filed and will be issued at Belfast's High Court on Tuesday.

"At the heart of this case is our client's allegation that the late Lord Louis Mountbatten molested him," Winters said.

"Understandably, many victims of abuse have chosen to be anonymous for clearly sensitive reasons.

"Arthur's decision to disclose his identity in this context was not easy."

"It's also out of anger at the government's systematic cover-up of abuses by these agencies."

He claimed to have been molested twice by the late royal family when he was 11 years old.

"This is the first time someone has come forward to accuse Lord Mountbatten in court."

"This decision was not made lightly."

"He knows very well that in the weeks after the Queen's death, there will be a lot of people coming to the memorial service and it will be a very unwelcome case."

The Kincola House opened in May 1958 and closed in October 1980 due to a sexual abuse scandal.

Historical agency abuse investigations found that 39 boys were molested and abused at the Kincola House, and in 1981, three men were jailed for molesting 11 boys.

There is no evidence that security agencies were involved in the abuse.

According to a recent report released by Poni Police Ombudsman Mary Anderson, she said it was "understandable" for some former residents to complain about police failing to investigate allegations of sexual abuse in children's homes.

Winters said: "Although the police past findings have been a failure, this finding is now gratifying, but Poni's recent report to Kincola only scratches the surface of the truth."
