Manchester City will face Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Defending champions Manchester City are currently second in the league table with 17 points in seven matches. United have won streaks in the last four games with 12 points and are sixth in line.
Pep Guardiola will certainly be wary of United's resurgence, with his side having to play very well to get three points from Sunday's game.
Here are three things to look out for during the game.
United's defence faces a litmus test
United have not conceded goals in their last four league games, but have faced a completely different test from their neighbours.
Martinez has done an excellent job in recent matches, winning the Best Player award. He is likely to go all out to contain Manchester City's Haaland.
The 22-year-old Norwegian striker is in hot form and has scored 14 goals in 10 games. The height gap between Haaland and Martinez is large, which is likely to be an obstacle for Argentine centre-backs. However, he will cheer up from the rule that City usually don't put too many aerial balls into the opposing box.
Rafael Varane will have to help his partner deal with the physical threat posed by Harland. Coupled with Phil Foden's light pace, Riad Mahrez's dribbling ability and Bernardo Silva's flawless attacking skills, United's defence faces a daunting task.
If his side can keep up the game on Sunday without conceding a goal, Eric Tenhag will be very happy.
Fierce confrontation in midfield
As is the case with most big matches, the fate of Sunday's clash may depend on the outcome of the midfield battle. Manchester City have Kevin De Bruyne and Ilke Gundogan in midfield, and the pair have the ability to plague any team in the world with their shrewd passing, timely running and goalscoring ability.
United are likely to have Christian Eriksen as one of the defensive midfielders in their 4231 formation (Scott McTominay is another) and they also want the Danish playmaker to take on some defensive responsibilities.
McTominay sometimes had to play as a third centre-back, while Diogo Dalot and Tyrrell Malassia had to stay in their own halfs most of the time as De Bruyne tended to go into the flank and provide accurate crosses.
United should also be ready to defend Rodri's long pass from the middle into the box.
Manchester United's counter-attack threat
Manchester City are likely to dominate possession on Sunday – they always do that.
As a result, United try to make the most of the ball after they get it. One can expect to see some long passes from Manchester United midfielders Eriksen and Bruno Fernandez into the opposing half.
Marcus Marcus Rashford is likely to be fit for Sunday's game and his pace should get the attention of City's defence. It must be remembered that the 24-year-old striker scored twice in United's 3-1 win over Arsenal a few weeks ago.
