Edson Barbosa was forced to withdraw from the upcoming battle with Ilya Topria.
Barbosa (22-11 MMA, 16-11 UFC) was scheduled to duel Topria (12-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) on the UFC Fight Night at UFC Apex on October 30, but he was forced to withdraw after a knee injury and needed surgery. It is unclear whether Topria will continue to compete.
Barbosa, 36, is hoping to walk out of the shadow of a two-game losing streak. After back-to-back victories over Makrwan Amilkani and UFC 262KO Sean Burgos, the Brazilian lost to Giga Chikadze on UFC 272 in March and again recently to Bryce Mitchell, Brazil's "King of Legs" has lost seven of the last 10 matches.
Ilya Topria, meanwhile, remains unbeaten as a professional MMA fighter, with a 4-0 record since joining the UFC in 2020. The Matadores beat Ryan Hall and Jay Herbert in recent matches, with the last game played in the lightweight level, while the game was scheduled to be against the Leg King in the featherweight class.
With this change, the latest lineup for UFC Fighting Night on October 30 includes:
Arnold Allen vs. Calvin Keital
Ilya Topria vs. TBD

Max Griffin vs. Tim Shins
