Early life

In 2005, Barton made his debut in the film Enemy of All, starring in Cherish (2009), Mission Impossible 4: The Phantom Protocol (2011), Two Guns (2013) and Warcraft (2016).

Barton voiced Arthur's 2004 album Confessions. She voiced the female voice in the song "Can U Handle It?" co-written with Robin Seak, who later married her. Barton wrote songs on several of Robin Seaker's albums under the name "Max", which comes from her middle name (Maxine).

In 2005, Barton teamed up with Will Smith and Eva Mendes to play a minor role in the romantic comedy film Enemies of All, her film debut. In the same year, she starred in the film London. In 2008, Barton played television journalist Kate Madison in the comedy film The Key Poll. She played Ms. Bruce Ryan in Lee Daniels' critically acclaimed theatrical film Cherish Life (2009).

In 2013, Barton collaborated with Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg on the action-comedy film Two Guns and starred in the romantic comedy film Baggage Claim. The film received bad reviews from many critics.
