Conakry, the capital of the Republic of Guinea, is a beautiful city backed by mountains and surrounded by water on three sides. In the blue corner of the sea, the Presidential Palace, the People's Palace, the National Museum and the whole city seem to be dappled and swaying in the tall tropical trees such as coconut trees, mango trees, and palm trees. However, the Bokai region, 300 kilometers northwest of the capital, is a primitive tribe of bushes and beasts. The local indigenous black people, all year round in the desolation of dry and rainy seasons, live three meals a day and eat more bananas and mangoes instead of lazy years. However, no one thought that at that time, the mileage of the needle line to 207 AD, but here and the geological people in Henan, China, which are thousands of miles away, are haunted by thousands of thoughts of "cutting and rationalizing". And since then, it has not been harvested, and the mountains and rivers have continued to this day.

10. Guinea Project Diary IV

Before arriving in Guinea, my knowledge of the country was limited to some information gathered from the Internet, knowing that the Republic of Guinea, located north of the equator, west of Africa, bordering the Atlantic Ocean to the west, was one of the least economically developed countries in the world. At the same time, it is also the country with rich mineral resources and the largest bauxite reserves in the world, known as a "geological miracle".

Guinea only has a rainy season and a dry season a year, and field geological work can only be carried out within half a year of the dry season, from pre-survey to exploration needs to be completed in a dry season. To this end, before the project starts, we break down the project work into each day and refine it to each team and each person. The first day of the project began to count down, the work implemented a daily report system, I personally implemented the implementation of the project day plan every night, found the "arrears", immediately looked for the cause, so that the problem was handled overnight, and the work arrears were not every other day.

In the harsh environment, our institute has found more than 4.5 billion tons of high-quality bauxite in Guinea, which is twice the reserves of the mainland, creating a miracle of "the fastest speed, the highest quality and the special results".

The Inner Asia Project Department has been awarded the honorary titles of "Henan Provincial Geological System Worker Pioneer" and "Henan Provincial Worker Pioneer", "Bauxite Exploration in the Mining Area of the Republic of Guinea No. 3650 of the Republic of China" has won the "Best Exploration Award of the International Cooperation Award" (Presented by Vice Minister Wang Min personally), and the Top Ten Geological Achievements of the People's Republic of China in 2010. I was also awarded the 2009 Provincial Geological and Mineral System "May Day" Labor Medal, and the 2011 Henan Provincial May Day Labor Medal.

Looking back, in the past few years of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression in Africa, we have relied on the strong backing of the motherland, on the great attention and vigorous support of leaders at all levels, on the spirit of "three glories" and "four specials," and on the "Guinean spirit" of "daring to be the first."

The time I worked abroad has formed an eight-year war of resistance. During this period, it is not without the involvement of home. 5 days before the exploration of the second phase of bauxite exploration in the 3650 mining area of China Power Investment Guinea, the elderly father diagnosed cancer and has metastasized, as a son, I have been away from home for more than thirty years, only because of a "busy" word failed to perform filial piety in front of the knee, as the eldest son, how eager I am to be able to accompany my seriously ill father in front of the bed to do a little filial piety, but I can not take care of the small family, I can only choose a career. The day before I left the country, I put my father in the hospital and entrusted the task of caring for his father to my lover. Before leaving, my wife was in tears, my father's trembling hands on the hospital bed were tightly holding me for a long time and I did not want to let go, my son was not filial piety, I wished Heaven to bless, and when I came back, I could still see that my old father was alive...

In the days when I worked in Guinea, I often looked in the direction of the motherland, and my heart often counted the days of going home, but when I came back, I often thought in my heart about the country where I had left sweat, and I thought about my brother-like colleagues who were still working there, and thinking back to the years we were together.

After returning home, the days passed really fast, the calendar was turned day by day, the earth rotated under the sun' illumination, we enjoyed the four distinct seasons in the country, people often complained that the high temperature in the summer made people feel extremely hot, and the cold in the winter made people feel cold and bitter. But on the other side of the globe, in Guinea, where I used to live and work, the dry season is so scorched, and the rainy season there is one pouring rain after another every day. The two seasons there are exchange seasons, and it's so hot and humid. The story I tell begins with a direct transition from the harsh winters of the country to the hot and humid seasons in Guinea.
