First, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs or local finances should increase support for aquatic fry enterprises, incorporate "aquatic fry" into the unified plan for the development of the national "seed industry", include varieties such as yellowtail, spotted forktail catfish, and largemouth bass into bulk aquatic products for parental renewal subsidies, and give support and rewards to fry production enterprises in parental breeding.
Second, agricultural law enforcement departments should increase the supervision of seedling production enterprises and effectively crack down on the illegal production of aquatic seedlings.
Third, it is recommended to increase the quarantine of aquatic seedlings and the supervision of aquatic product quality and safety, and unqualified aquatic seedlings must not be sold on the market. 1. Problems with catfish seed. The problem of catfish seed has been revealed at present, mainly in the following points:
(1) No matter how you select the size of commercial fish when you are stocked, the difference between the finished fish out of the pond will be very large, and the size difference will reach more than one pound or more, which in addition to the factor of grabbing ability, germplasm degradation causes some individual growth retardation problems are the most important factors (just like the "iron shell shrimp" of South American White Shrimp and Giant River Prawns);
(2) It is almost impossible to introduce wild parents from the United States, and there are huge doubts about whether the introduction of wild parents alone can support the development of the entire industry.
2. Market problems with catfish.
The development of the spotted forktail catfish industry market is generally more orderly, and the future market will be even bigger! How to regulate the market and industry associations need to be carefully analyzed, and call on leading enterprises in the industry to play a role, do not go to the old road of the development of the "crayfish industry".
There are also experts who believe that the side price of spotted fork tail catfish pond is controlled at 8 to 10 yuan / catty, not too high, if too high, it may be a good thing for some farmers, but for the entire industry, it is not a beneficial thing. Because the breeding technology threshold is not very high, if the pond side price is 12 ~ 13 yuan / catty, the output is easy to reach 2000 catties per mu, the profit is relatively high, once the profit is very high, it will rush up, causing great harm to the industry.
