【2.5 million children in Israel welcome the arrival of the new semester】
On September 1, 2022, 2.5 million children in Israel returned to school to welcome the new semester.
According to the Israeli Ministry of Education, there are currently 218,000 teachers across Israel, working in 22,050 nurseries and 5,440 schools. About 177,000 children start the first grade of primary school, about 136,000 students start their final year of high school, and about 290,000 students are enrolled in the special education system.
On the morning of September 1, Israeli Prime Minister Rapid and Israeli Education Minister Ifat Shasha-Beaton came to Nitzanei Hameda Primary School in Rehovot to attend the opening ceremony of the new semester.
Israeli Finance Minister Lieberman traveled to the educational institution of the Eshkor Regional Council, near the Gaza Strip, to welcome the new semester with the children, "watching the students walk into the school smiling, I think it is the happiest time.".
Israeli Justice Minister Gideon Sal posted a photo on social media with his daughter, who is about to enter first grade.
