Rock Head Incident: The permanent destruction of the Red Thirteenth Army, marking the disintegration of the main forces of the Red Thirteenth Army and the Red Regiment

author:So talk about history

At the end of 1931, the Yongjia district committees were seriously damaged, some party members were killed, some left their hometowns, and some lurked, and the revolution once again turned into a low tide.

Lei Gaosheng, commander of the Red First Regiment (Division) Regiment (Division), and Jin Yonghong, commander of the Xianju Guerrilla Regiment of the Red First Regiment (Division), led the two teams to fight side by side, cooperating with each other at the same time and in time, and repeatedly repelled the "advance and suppression" of the Kuomintang army. In January 1932, the Kuomintang "Wentai Bandit Command" was established, and Li Jie, commander of the 135th Brigade of the Kuomintang Army, served as the commander of the three battalions, and gathered more than 2,000 people from the fourth and fifth regiments of the provincial security corps and the local militia regiments, and besieged the remnants of the Red First Regiment (Division) led by Lei Gaosheng in the sparsely populated and extremely poor Shaohengkeng area of the mountains and forests.

Under the circumstance that it was difficult to win the "offensive and suppression," the Kuomintang Zhejiang Provincial Government and the Provincial Security Department met many times to discuss countermeasures and decided to adopt the method of "suppressing and appeasing and doing both." Zhu Bingxi, commander of the Fourth Regiment of Zhejiang Bao in Yongjia, was specially ordered to design a trap for Lei Gaosheng's troops, and sent Li Jie's third brigade to Wenzhou to assist.

Zhu Bingxi sent several subordinates who were familiar with Lei Gaosheng to go up the mountain to persuade Lei Gaosheng to surrender from the new, and Xu Yi took up the post of independent detachment leader of the regimental headquarters after surrendering, but Lei Gaosheng was unmoved. The second time, Yao Bingwen, commander of the special agent company, was sent up the mountain to persuade him, but Lei Gaosheng still refused to go down the mountain. The third time, Zhu Qiyou, commander of the third battalion, was sent up the mountain to persuade Lei Gaosheng to take 40 people to "surrender" and asked Zhu Bingxi to send troops to receive them at a certain time and place. Lei Gaosheng's intention was to use this opportunity to deceive Zhu Bingxi and eliminate his troops. And Zhu Bingxi also wanted to use this opportunity to solve Lei Gaosheng's department.

Thunder rises high

By the appointed time, Zhu Bingxi sent 3 companies of troops to collect the guns, and fierce battles broke out on both sides, each with damage. Lei Gaosheng and his troops still returned to the Yong (Jia) Xian (Ju) border to insist on fighting, and the Kuomintang army had no choice.

In order to survive the difficulties, Lei Gaosheng led the Red Army soldiers to build stones as walls, cut down trees as beams, and built simple grass huts on Shaohengkeng Mountain to shelter from wind and rain, and collect wild fruits and vegetables to fill their hunger. In extreme difficulty, Lei Gaosheng had no choice but to dismiss some of the Red Army soldiers.

In the spring of 1932, the Kuomintang troops approached the Red Army strongholds around Shaohengkeng, the encirclement circle became smaller and smaller, and artillery fire directly hit the Red Army strongholds. Nevertheless, it was not easy for the Kuomintang army to "wipe out" Lei Gaosheng's troops. Under these circumstances, Zhu Bingxi, the commander of the Zhejiang Fourth Regiment, and Zhang Ganchen, the head of the Kuomintang Yongjia County, wanted to trap Lei Gaosheng's troops. They sent detectives to persuade Lei Gaosheng to surrender through the relationship between Lei Gaosheng's father's friend Chen Qi.

Then he took advantage of the teacher-student relationship between the local gentlemen Zhou Ziyu and others with Lei Gaosheng, and sent Zhou Ziyu, Zhou Zhongbo, and Xu Xiangyan into the mountains to persuade them to surrender. Faced with the serious threat to the survival of the Red Army, Lei Gaosheng began to consider whether to make a plan, first fake surrender, get through the difficulties, and then wait for the opportunity to make a comeback.

One day in mid-April, Zhou Zixiu agreed on a time to ask Lei Gao to rise to five feet for an interview. Zhou Zixiu conveyed Zhu Bingxi's promise: As long as Lei Bu is willing to abandon the secret and invest in the light and contribute to the party-state, the government will not blame the past, and will appoint posts separately according to the specific conditions of the officers and men of lei bu, and allocate equipment supplies and salaries according to routine.

Lei Gaosheng proposed that the conditions for accepting the incorporation were:

1. The Red Army units are not dispersed, not mixed, and maintain a separate organization; 2. Do not enter the city, do not dispatch, and station at nanxi rock head; 3. No discrimination, no withholding, and military salaries are allocated as usual.

Zhou Ziyu relayed the conditions put forward by Lei Gaosheng to Zhu Bingxi and Zhang Ganchen, who knew that this was a false surrender, but believed that as long as Lei Gaosheng was willing to go down the mountain and get into a trap, he would not be afraid of where he would fly, so he calculated and agreed to all the conditions. Immediately, the arrest warrant for Lei Gaosheng was cancelled, and it was promised that Lei Gaosheng's department would be organized into a Yongjia patrol team, stationed at Yantou to maintain local law and order, and the military salary would be paid by the government as usual, on the same basis as the personnel of the headquarters.

Rock Head Incident: The permanent destruction of the Red Thirteenth Army, marking the disintegration of the main forces of the Red Thirteenth Army and the Red Regiment

At the same time, Zhou Ziyu was appointed as the captain of the Yongjia Patrol Brigade, Lei Gao was promoted to captain and deputy captain, and the commanders and fighters of the Red Regiment, Dai Jiaye, Hu Jinjin, Zhang Hua, Zhang Maohong, Zhang Xuedong, Dai Yuanpu, Zhou Qiyou, Dai Xiangyin, Chen Yunqi (Xianju Laoqi), Tang Kezhong, Zhuo Pingxi (Zhuo Chao), Xu Defeng, Li Wenxi (Li Guohong), Zhou Chengle, Zhang Yulin, Dai Zhongfei, and Zhou Yuehou, respectively, were assigned to detachment leaders, platoon leaders, special agent chiefs, and Sishuhou messengers.

After that, Lei Gaosheng took Li Wenxi, Zhuo Pingxi, Hu Jinjin, Tang Kezhong, and several other assistants to the city to negotiate directly with Zhu Bingxi and Zhang Ganchen. Zhu Bingxi, Zhang Ganchen, and the Kuomintang Yongjia County Party Department were very "enthusiastic" and "hosted a banquet" for Lei Gaosheng and his party, and said on the spot that 320 guns, 24 boxes of bullets, 400 bags of rice, and a batch of military uniforms would be allocated to Them, and when the time came, they would arrive in Shatou for handover. The first 12 bags of rice, 120 sets of military uniforms, 60 water bottles, delivered to Li Wenxi to transport sand heads. He also took out a number of yuan from the ocean on the spot and handed it to Lei Gaosheng, saying that it was to solve the current difficulties for the Mine Department. The two sides agreed to lead the team to Yantou on May 22 to handle the procedures for "incorporation".

On May 10 (the fifth day of the fourth lunar month), Lei Gaosheng returned to the Yong (Jia) Xian (Ju) border garrison and called a meeting of the backbone of the Red Army above the squad leader and some Red Army soldiers. At the meeting, some people were in favor, some people were against, some people were undecided, and the debate was very fierce. Many people think that they cannot be trusted against the Kuomintang, this is a conspiracy, we must be vigilant, if we rush down the mountain, the Kuomintang will turn its face, there will be no room for maneuver. Jin Yonghong also believed that the KMT should not be gullible and should not go down the mountain. Lei Gaosheng repeatedly thought about the opinions put forward by everyone and believed that it was not unreasonable. However, he also thought that after going down the mountain, as long as the troops are not dispersed and do not enter the city, the Kuomintang troops will not be able to help, even if there are problems, it will be a few months later, and there will be no problems immediately when they go down the mountain.

Therefore, those who did not want to go down the mountain, together with Jin Yonghong, insisted on fighting on the border of Yong (Jia) Xian (Ju). About 70 people who were willing to go down the mountain with Lei Gaosheng, Lei Gaosheng organized these people into 5 detachments, with Hu Jingen, Zhou Shanjiao, Dai Zimu, and Zheng Jiuliu as the detachment leaders, burying some of the better guns in the mountains and using them later when they returned. At the same time, Lei Gaosheng sent a letter to Qingtian Peak Mountain to give Zhang Hua. Zhang Hua usually respected Lei Gaosheng, and after receiving the letter, he immediately led a few people to meet Lei Gaosheng. Lei Gaosheng's unit set off from Baizhangkeng in Da'ao Township and passed through Pankeng and Biaoshan to five feet. On May 22, the troops arrived at The Rock Head to await "incorporation."

Zhu Bingxi and Zhang Ganchen submitted the deployment of the designed trap to the provincial security department and the provincial government. The Provincial Security Department and the provincial government immediately sent a telegram: "Solve it on the spot, do not slip through the net, in order to prevent future troubles." "And sent personnel to carry the radio to Yongjia Rock Head to sit in to assist and supervise." Zhu Bingxi and Zhang Ganchen discussed and drew up two plans: the first plan, summoning the leader of the Lei Department to the regimental headquarters to receive the salary, immediately detaining him, and then rounding up and killing his subordinates; The second plan is to shoot the Mine Department in a straightforward manner. In contrast, they believed that the first plan was afraid of uneven leadership, resulting in passivity, and decided to adopt the second plan. Therefore, Zhu Bingxi sent the Seventh Company of the Third Battalion to Yantou on May 22, and the commander of the third battalion, Zhu Qiyou, was responsible for the specific implementation, and planned to eliminate Lei Gaosheng's troops in the name of "inspection and acceptance".

On the morning of May 23 (the eighteenth day of the fourth lunar month), Zhu Bingxi ordered Lei Gaosheng to lead his troops to the Yantou Dongzong Ancestral Hall to receive "incorporation". Lei Bu assembled at the Dongzong Ancestral Hall, and Zhu Qiyou issued an order: Today, the reorganization will be carried out in two places, and the newly participated Red Army soldiers will gather at Yantou Primary School (about 500 meters away from the Dongzong Ancestral Hall, where the present-day Yongjia Second Middle School is located) to take photos, take pictures, give them silver, and send them home; The old Red Army soldiers stayed in the Dongzong Ancestral Hall and were reorganized by name; All the Red Army soldiers concentrated their weapons on the wall and issued them with new weapons after reorganization. After the new soldiers left, the old fighters concentrated on roll call. After the roll call, Zhu Qiyou issued an order: Lei Gaosheng, Hu Jinjin, Dai Jiaye, Dai Yuanpu, Tang Kezhong, Chen Yunqi, Zhang Hua, Ying Chuandeng, Ye Shangzhong, Zhou Qiyou, Zhang Maohong (and three unknowns), and 14 other people, laid down their weapons, changed into new clothes, and went to the five ancestral halls inside to listen to the chief's instructions. Lei Gaosheng and the others had no choice but to go in one after another.

The site of the Yantou Dongzong Incident

When Lei Gaosheng entered, he was bound by Zhu Qiyou's subordinates, and Dai Yuanpu saw that the situation was not good, and was about to draw his gun and was killed first. Dai Jiaye and Hu Jinjin pulled their legs and ran to the window, intending to escape through the window, Dai Jiaye was killed at the heel of the window, Hu Jinjin was stabbed to death while climbing the window, and Zhang Hua, Tang Kezhong, Chen Yunqi, Zhou Qiyou, Zhang Maohong and 9 others (one name unknown) were killed on the spot. Lei Gaosheng, Ying Chuandeng, Zhou Zhongyou, Ye Shangzhong, Zhang Ruitang, Dai Yanyan and 6 others were captured.

At this time, there was great chaos in the ancestral hall. Zhuo Pingxi ran to the door, because of his superior arm strength, he overturned several sentries in a row, and an arrow rushed out of the gate, taking the road and fleeing. Others scattered and fled for their lives, and the Kuomintang military machine guns strafed. The Red Army soldiers who died in the escape were Zhou Shoubao, Zhang Jinfa, Chen Shigan, Zhou Yifei, Hu Bangluan, Zhang Zhixing, Li Guimei, Li Milk Brush, Shao Zhaodi, and Dai Changmao (two unknown). The Red Army soldiers who went to Yantou Primary School to take photos heard the gunshots in the Ancestral Hall of the Eastern Sect, knew that there was a change, and also fled in all directions. That night, Zhu Bingxi, Zhang Ganchen, Zhu Qiyou escorted Lei Gaosheng and 6 other people, led their troops to Fenglin to stay overnight, and imprisoned Lei Gaosheng in the Catholic Church. The next day back to Yongjia District (Wenzhou). When passing through Shatou, Li Wenxi was arrested again.

Seven people were escorted to YongjiaCheng District (Wenzhou) for three days, and Lei Gaosheng bravely took up his righteousness at Zifu Mountain in Wenzhou on June 25. Before the execution, an executioner stepped forward to insert the death card and was kicked hard by Lei Gaosheng. When Lei Gaosheng was about to be sentenced, he shouted slogans: "Down with the Kuomintang reactionaries!" "Long live the Chinese Communist Party!" The onlookers were in awe. Also heroic and righteous in Wenzhou were Ying Chuandeng and Ye Shangzhong. Li Wenxi was released on bail by Zhou Zixiu. Several others were sentenced and sent to the Zhejiang Provincial Court in Hangzhou to serve their sentences.

After the Yantou Dongzong Incident (also known as the Yantou Incident), the Kuomintang Zhejiang BaoSi Regiment, together with the landlords' armed forces, successively "pursued" the Red Army and its families in Yantou, Wuzhi, Biaoshan, Pankeng, Xikou, Yantan, Yubei, Twenty-Four Ridges, and Pingyangkeng in Ruian. Among the Red Army cadres and fighters who were arrested and killed were Zheng Jimei and many others.

The "Yantou Dongzong Incident" red army suffered heavy losses, marking the disintegration of the main forces of the Red Thirteenth Army and the Red Regiment. After that, the Red Thirteenth Army entered a difficult stage of struggle in which the remnants of the red army persisted in the struggle, and the red army guerrillas faced an even more severe test.
