There is an interesting theory in the network: T. rex, which once dominated the earth, was in fact not extinct on a long historical evolutionary road. Instead, it became a different kind of animal and continued to live on Earth. This animal is the chicken we often see today.
Someone narrowed the picture of the Tyrannosaurus rex infinitely, to the same proportion as a chicken, and found that the Tyrannosaurus rex was very similar to the chicken. What's more interesting is that some netizens directly installed an artificial tail on the chicken's butt. It turned out that the tail-mounted chicken walked in almost the same posture as the T-Rex.
Such a sound has led more and more people to believe that T. rex is likely to be the ancestor of chickens, and in order to survive better, T. rex can only give up its huge size and become an inconspicuous chicken.
Unfortunately, this theory has never been confirmed by any scientific aspect. So most people just think it's an interesting spoof on the web and don't take it for granted.
However, in 2007 and 2008, two biologists conducted research on similar topics. Because the scientists extracted traces of the existence of seven collagen proteins from the fossils of Tyrannosaurus rex, and then compared them with chickens, they found that the two were very similar.
Another scientist also extracted a local protein sequence from a Tyrannosaurus rex fossil. This sequence was then compared with an equivalent sequence with some mammalian birds, and the result was concluded that the relationship between the chicken and the T. rex was the most intimate.
To some extent, these two experiments once again validated Tyrannosaurus rex, most likely the ancestors of chickens. Nearly 100 million years have passed since the Tyrannosaurus rex, and it is unclear whether the genetic information extracted from the fossils is accurate.
However, it is not difficult to find out from life that there are many strange habits in chickens. For example, the average hen can lay eggs without fertilization, and most animals in nature have the habit of guarding their cubs. But the chickens behaved differently in this regard, even if they took the eggs in front of them, they did not see a single hen hysterical.
Interestingly, in the age of the dinosaurs, there was a very large family of egg thieves, called hand robbers. Hand-robbed dragons can be said to be a distant relative of Tyrannosaurus rex, and the way this dinosaur survived was to take advantage of the fact that other dinosaurs were not paying attention and then secretly taking away their eggs.
It is precisely because the number of stolen dinosaur eggs is too large, resulting in their bold thieves, and sometimes even dare to openly steal the eggs of the Tyrannosaurus rex. Under the influence of the hand robber, the Tyrannosaurus rex can only choose to lay multiple eggs in the process of breeding, and from time to time it will lay a dragon egg.
In this way, increase your own reproduction efforts. Even if the Hand Thief loves to steal eggs, it is impossible to steal all the eggs during the defense period. It is in this way that some Tyrannosaurus rex eggs will eventually survive.
According to this fact, the thought of humans taking their eggs in front of chickens will not react at all. Therefore, some people further judged that this is likely to be a bug generated by the Tyrannosaurus rex from the genes, and eventually continued to its offspring chickens. Unfortunately, to some extent, such a statement is only a fact-based speculation and is not a scientific basis.
