According to a recent report by the Global Network, after flying nearly 10,000 kilometers, the Y-20 of our air force appeared at the largest air show in Europe, made a static display, and became the largest military aircraft on the scene. At the opening of the air show, the "fat girl" became the "most beautiful boy" on the field, and a group of aviation enthusiasts flocked to surround the Y-20.

Y-20 flew thousands of miles and went to Europe for the first time to participate in the exhibition
On the 2nd, the "Air Power 2022" air show was launched at the Austrian Air Base. The air show, known as the largest in Europe, will feature more than 200 military and civilian aircraft from 20 countries, including Europe's medium-sized transport aircraft A400M. At the end of August, the organizers of the air show revealed that China's Y-20 will travel thousands of miles to Europe to participate in the exhibition. In addition, the organizers affectionately refer to the Y-20 as the "Phoenix from China".
Local Austrian media said the Y-20 had arrived at the airport at the end of August and would participate in the exhibition in a static form. At the air show, in addition to the real aircraft appearance, the mainland also released all relevant data. In the published parameters, in addition to some basic information, we can also find that the Y-20 set many "maximums", such as the maximum take-off weight of 200 tons, the fastest flight speed of 918 kilometers per hour.
However, we have not published its maximum range data, which is also the most critical indicator of strategic transport aircraft. However, some time ago, our military Y-20 also went to West Africa 15,000 kilometers away to carry out missions. The mainland took the initiative to publish the parameters, showing the world the transparency of the mainland in the military, and also left a good impression of tolerance and openness for European aviation enthusiasts.

The Y-20 attracts onlookers at the exhibition site, and the order may come
In the static display area of the air show, our military Y-20 attracted a large number of onlookers, and a large number of aviation enthusiasts flocked to it and surrounded it. In order to let the foreign people know more about the Y-20, the mainland pilots also explained it in detail in English at the venue. At the scene, a little girl of Chinese descent also made a special trip with her father to see the Y-20 of the Chinese Air Force, and the captain of our military also gave her two Y-20 aircraft badges on the spot.
Captain Wang Tianfeng said that the Chinese side was invited to participate in the exhibition this time, hoping to increase exchanges and learning with counterparts in various countries through this platform, and to exercise the flight capability of the troops with such long-distance flights, so as to better carry out various international rescue missions later, and provide a good channel for exchanges with the European region.

The Y-20 is arguably the largest military transport aircraft in this exhibition. In fact, this is not the first time that the Y-20 has come to Europe. In April, the mainland dispatched six Y-20s to form a super-large formation to deliver its purchased anti-aircraft missiles to Serbia. During this flight, our military Y-20 was hung with jamming bombs and implemented a standardized flight mode in actual combat, which fully verified its excellent performance.
As a new type of transport aircraft, the Y-20 has changed the situation that the mainland has long relied on the Russian-made Il-76 transport aircraft, and has the advantages of long range, large load capacity and high reliability, so that it has great export potential. And compared to the U.S. C-17, the price is more favorable and is not affected by any political factors. Previously, the United States had only sold its transport aircraft to its allies, and exports were expensive, selling to India for about three times more than its own use.
(At the air show held in Changchun, the Y-20 performed a U-turn in place)
The Y-20 was busy, and the Changchun Airshow showed a U-turn
Since its installation, the Y-20's schedule has been very busy, and exposure has continued to rise. Before participating in the European Air Show, the Y-20 also participated in the air show held in Changchun some time ago. Different from this time, at the Changchun Air Show, the Yun-20 also carried out a stand-alone air display, and showed everyone a U-turn at the air show, the whole process was very silky, and won the applause of the whole hall.
In addition, the Y-20 also went more than 10,000 kilometers to pick up peacekeepers. It was once again an emergency dispatch, arriving at the scene at the first time to deliver relief supplies to Pakistan, which was hit by floods.
To this end, the always harsh US media also said that whether it is from the performance of the delivery to Serbia or from the series of rescue operations it has carried out, the influence of the Yun-20 has gradually expanded. Although there is still some gap in performance indicators with the C-17 strategic transport aircraft, it has the ability to compete with it.
