On 31 August, a section of the road was damaged in flooding in the Jarseda district of Khyber-Pashtun province in northwestern Pakistan.

Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority said on the evening of August 30 that since mid-June, heavy rainfall in Pakistan has caused 1,162 deaths and 3,554 injuries.
