Syria's State News Agency (SANA) quoted local sources in the town of Arubia as saying that a convoy of 122 oil tanker trucks full of oil recently entered neighboring Iraq from the energy-rich Jazira region of Hassaka province in northeastern Syria, through the illegal Mahmoudi border passage. Another convoy of 15 tanker trucks then left Syrian territory for Iraq shortly thereafter.

Local sources added that the tanker trucks were escorted by armored vehicles belonging to the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) until they reached the crossing point.

The Russian-Syrian Coordination Committee has lashed out at the continued looting of Syrian oil by U.S. occupying forces, citing it as the main culprit in the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Syria.

In a joint statement, the commissions called on the international community, particularly Syria's neighbours, to take effective measures to put an end to the plundering of arab countries' natural resources and their smuggling abroad. They also urged U.N. agencies to play a more active role in providing humanitarian assistance to Syrians.

According to data released by the Syrian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Syria's total oil production in the first half of this year was 14.5 million barrels, with a daily output of about 80,300 barrels, of which 66,000 barrels were plundered by U.S. troops in Syria. The data further shows that the oil reserves of Syria's domestic refineries are only 14,200 barrels.

The U.S. military has deployed troops and equipment in northeastern Syria, a deployment the Pentagon claims is designed to prevent oil fields in the area from falling into the hands of terrorists. However, the Syrian government insists that the deployment is intended to plunder the country's rich mineral resources. Former U.S. President Donald Trump has acknowledged more than once that U.S. troops enter Arab countries to get oil.

According to another report, the Syrian Times (Syria times) latest news on the 29th, from the data released by the Syrian Foreign Ministry on August 29, due to the OCCUPATION of the United States, Syria lost $107.1 billion in the oil and gas field.

In two letters to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the President of the Security Council, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out that Syria still faces the control of The Natural and Energy Resources of Syria by the United States occupying forces, as well as the serious negative impact and consequences of the United States Government on the exploitation, destruction, waste and depletion of Syria's natural resources. This has prevented the Syrian people from investing in and benefiting from these natural resources and their revenues, at a time when Syria is already suffering from severe shortages of energy materials.

It is worth noting that until now, some countries have continued to steal Syria's oil, gas and mineral wealth, impose an economic blockade, and obstruct early recovery projects and reconstruction processes.
